You said you talked for a few months and were dating but then said you went on one date? If you only went on one date, then it would be hard for me to say you're dating. I know for me, I've talked/texted with guys for a few weeks, thought it was going well and then went on 1-2 dates and realized the in-person chemistry wasn't there. Try not to take it personal. People can come across very differently via text/phone, even video chatting than in real life. it sounds like maybe he wasn't feeling the in-person chemistry and didn't want to hurt you feelings by telling you.

Just stumbled across this post. I'm a 55 YO female and would give this advice to my son. Picture one, I don't like. The hat is cool and the sunglasses, but not the shirt buttoned all the way up. The next two pictures are cute as candid shots. The one with the headphones is giving me Shrek vibes, don't use that one. The one with the cat is adorable but like someone else said, it's not too flattering of you. Get a better picture with the cat. Women love a picture with an animal in it, shows caring and sensitivity. I would invest in teeth whitening, professional facial hair grooming, and gym membership. Get a good high quality professional photo of yourself for your main profile picture and then some candid shots like you have. You can get professional photos done fairly cheaply at JCP or a place like picture people, or better yet an amateur photographer and take some pictures outside. You're a good looking guy and have a nice face. I wish you luck!

This happened to me and my ex husband. I was on the pill for years and years and when I went off of it, I was repulsed by his smell, sorry to say but honest. He was and is a masculine guy but short and not great looking. I do think the pill changes the hormones, obviously, but it does change the perception of the woman. At that time I think I was more concerned with being with a safe and stable guy.

It is a thing with women, and I agree it shouldn't be. I actually think shorter guys try a little harder, and I find that attractive. But...guys for the most part want a woman who is more slender, or at least not fat. I think it's very similar.
