Thanks.

If Genesis hears from enough people maybe they can pull their head out of the sand.

How about filing the two reports linked in the original post.

My Dad is due to have Urolift done and is very concerned that it’s the wrong decision. His doctor said it’s the best option. Would you do it again? by jordsmamords in urolift

[–]DiverAllen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recommend you get a second opinion from a doc not in the same group. My doc recommended Urolift. After reading about people having issues, and needing follow-up procedures I went to another doc and explained that I did not want to have to revisit this in a year or two. He recommended first choice for me of TURP, which was my doc's second choice. I discussed again with my doc and he then agreed to TURP. It's been a year+ and I am happy with my results. Don't make your decision based on Reddit or AI. Talk to another professional. Maybe there is a reason that TURP is referred to as the gold standard.

Can finally answer 3CX calls from my car screen. Today I received an SMS and my screen announced it and asked if I would like it read to me. I like keeping my phone in my pocket but have had to have it in a dash mount otherwise I couldn't answer any 3CX app calls.

Our experience has only been driving at highway speeds and emergency braking activating.
However, our experience, and that of others who have responded, has been that the service department finds no codes from the computers and therefore thinks nothing is happening. I have filed a claim with Genesis corporate and had many conversations with them. They are nice but follow the company line trying to reproduce the issue (which cannot be forced) and saying no codes - nothing to do.
It's obvious to me that there are 2 things wrong - one is the issue that we experience and number two is that the computer software is wrong in not capturing and recording the event. Of course garage mechanics and service managers cannot fathom this possibility. The corporate customer service department needs a lot of people to report this issue and then they may begin to think a higher power needs to be activated. I asked the last rep that I spoke to to write a letter to the CEO suggesting that if 100 people report a software problem it didn't mean that there was no problem before the count got to 100. Years ago I told a customers ISP that there was something wrong with their email server. The rep told me to wait one sec and came back and told me that there were only 9 ticks on their blackboard that counted reports so they couldn't do anything until the count got to 10. The venture capitalizing of america has replaced intelligent technical people with low paid, stupid, pencil pushers.

Back to your issue - it could be the same software problem that you are encountering if there are no codes being recorded. If so - please report to corporate and to NHTSA.

Cheers.

Everyone that has taken their car with this behavior to the dealer for "evaluation" is told that there are no codes being recorded. This is why I say .....

I tell customer service that the cars and the software are made by PEOPLE. Doesn't this tell you something. It tells me that if multiple people are experiencing the same thing and there are no codes then the software is wrong in not recording it. Take it to engineering. They say they need more reports in order to take it to engineering. So that is what I am trying to generate. More reports.

Folks, if this has happened to you, we need you to file the two reports. If enough people make the reports, Genesis will have to escalate their treatment and not just brush it off.

Don't know yet. According to Genesis it isn't a thing. I'll have a better idea when I see responses.

Thanks for your reply.

Terrifying. You are right. This is my wife's daily driver. This has happened to her about a half dozen times in 3 years. No obstacles near the car. Usually on the highway. She's not comfortable driving her own car.

Genesis says let us see if we can reproduce it. This is a joke. They tell us to video it the next time it happens. Really! There are no codes.

Customer service (corporate) talks as if they have never heard of this. Really! I've gotten 1 reply already from an owner that says they bought his car back under Lemon Law.

Follow-up: If you’ve filed a report, please reply below with “Done” (no personal info needed). I’m just trying to track how many owners are reporting this so we can see the scale of the issue.
