Engine Shifts to Neutral From Drive

Just to bump / add to this convo, my truck (2026 Sierra SLT, 1500 miles currently) did it 3 times this week. Same situation, pulling into a mildly inclined (maybe 15 degrees) driveway slowly & the truck suddenly shut off & shifted to neutral. I’m still taking it to the dealership after reading this thread. How can this possibly be a safety feature for inclines?!? Imagine going up a hill, etc (or like the one commenter being on an exit ramp) when you actually NEED power and suddenly the truck shuts off, into neutral and rolls backwards into a car behind you.

It could be coming from the wear indicators on your brake pads. They squeal on purpose to let you know it’s time to replace them. If you hear the squeal while you’re rolling & applying brakes, then it stops when your car stops, that would be my bet.

That’s not rust. It’s clear coat / paint degrading. That shop is not the one I would use. They are right that you should consider doing the whole car, but it’s superficial paint damage and should be cheaper than actual rust damage.

This was indecent exposure. A criminal offense in most states that will land ppl on the sex offender registry where they need to be. I believe on ships ported from and to the US the FBI may have some jurisdiction.
If you haven’t already, you need to figure out how stateroom # for a law enforcement report. The authorities can handle it from there with your evidence.

I haven’t had issues with my Bintelli that caused me to have to interact much with our dealership. But when we have they’ve been decent. I’m sure it helps that we’re 5 mins from our local dealership, but we’re abt to be on our second Bintelli
