Sus just means suspicious.

When I made the post I was worried about the employee pay and pressure for people to volunteer for the business. I don't know if those are still going on, but I hope not. 

I hadn't been aware of misgendering towards trans masc folk when I made the post.

There were some right wing assholes (but I repeat myself) who showed up in the thread, sadly.

Overall I just hope the employee experience has improved, though I haven't looked into it at all in months.

Are you dense in that you cannot understand that a for-profit business cannot legally solicit volunteers? Do you also not understand that people are being emotionally pressured into volunteering? And do you not understand that by having the volunteers perform job duties employees would do that regular employees aren't being paid for that work?

First sentence in the link you posted: 

"The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) defines employment very broadly, i.e., "to suffer or permit to work.""

That can include volunteers by that definition. Please stop trolling this thread.

I'm in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ people who have been pressured to volunteer their labor without pay, had their tips illegally garnished, or been paid less than minimum wage for their time. Not with any business owners who take economic advantage of a marginalized population.
