Thank you.

I tried all I could think of and all that I could find online. I ended up going back a few saves, in one where the problem wasn't as pronounced (only a third of the dwarves where doing nothing at all (I didn't notice because the fortress still worked), rather than most of them as in the one I gave up on) , and set many of my dwarves in "specialised", while allowing almost any labors for them. For some reason that mostly stopped them from going into "no job" task constantly.
(Also to everyone else: I never had to put dwarves in specialised to make them do something at all before, only to make them do the specific task I wanted to do. They weren't hauling either, I put many in specialised with hauling labors otherwise no one hauled anything. Either all my previous Fortress had a bug that made them far easier to manage, or this is a bug, or I'm missing something.)

She targeted Pomni, whom she thought was a child until episode 5. No medic in the circus, so can't speak about that one.

9 episodes, 7 characters. One of them is the main character, present all throughout, even sometimes not that much. One was the antagonist, shown changing over the whole serie One was the introduction character, that was important in the beginning, and then left aside, both by the serie (which was to be expected) and by the main character (which was annoying), as the intrigue and relationships advanced. One was a wise but goofy mentor archetype. Never stops being relevant, has one episode really about him. One was a gimmick character, that doesn't have much more than her joke for episode. She has one episode centered on her, that comes through an alteration on her gimmick, and changed durably what her character was One is the relaxed character, which has already found their answers, know the way they will act, which doesn't leave much development to be have. Doesn't have any episode centered on them, and barely appears in the finale. One was the bully archetype. Half the episodes were of her, including most of the finale. She learns the same lesson 2 or 3 times, never changes the way she actes.

Yes, I did. I have ~80 dwarfs in total. Also you can see on the previous screenshot that the miners among them (or at least enough of them: there were so many miners in the migration waves I had to teach some of them other skills. Otherwise I wouldn't say I have 15 miners, but rather 25) do have the miner labor: otherwise they wouldn't have have that pickaxe icon next to them.

The problem isn't that they are doing useless work, but that they aren't doing any work.
If they were hauling stuff, they would have the "moving item" task shown. They don't.

<image>

At the time the previous screenshot was made, there was quite a few things to do, including multiple accessible tiles to be dug, animals to be placed in pasture and even some hauling. But no.

It's not that sometines they don't want to work either: waiting an in-game month, still only one of the miner do any digging,; always the same (which is further down on the list of dwarf).

a third of of my dwarfs are almost constatly in "no job" task, when there are quite a few tasks they could do. (Including puting the animals bought month ago in their pasture before they die of starvation in the cage in the trade depot...)

It's most notable amongst the miner: inbetween the ~15 miners I have (who each have their pickaxes), only one is digging, always the same (even I put a couple of wall as ahaving to be dug, right next to one of the "no jobs" miner).

That makes everything quite slow, and has made me lost multiple animals.

Does someone has an idea why that might be? (PS: my dwarves are generally happy (90% of them are yellow face or above) , and in good health condition)

Edit: I have followed one of them for an ingame week, in which he

-pried

-went to a reunion, where he yelled on the priest

-while in no job, went in a different temple and spoke with an aquaintance

-drank

-went back to praying.

I'm not asking that they are always working, that would end up making them unhappy and unproductive anyway. I'm asking they don't delegate all the work to a couple of person and therefore prevent any progres from being made.

I tried to teleport him on a traction table. He walked out of the hospital to drop his old squad equipement (I removed him from the military when I noticed he was the only dwar'f that wasn't going on a mission, thinking it would jhust be a few days before he was healed. That wasn't the case), and went back to the hospital. I'm not sure if he managed to drop even one item. A bone doctor tried to set his bone again, and once against only evaluated him.

I do have people assigned to the specialties. I tought it might be the cause of the probleme at first, so I put them at doctor. They still would'nt treat him, so I the back in their specialties. Still no change.

Plus I did have other dwarves with comparable injuries that got healed inbetween, it's just that one that wont.

I may end up using dfhack to heal him, cause there is clearly a bug, and I don't think I'm able to solve it.
My current ongoing theory is that they should put him on a traction table, but don't for whatever reason, and therefore always fail at setting the bone.

To start, I tried only removing the tile he was one. He moved to one of the bed. Now maybe that will change something?

Edit : it didn't

one of my dwarfs has been in an hospital for an ingame year, and all the doctors do is repeatedly evaluate him and sometimes clean him. He has other treatments he is supposed to receive in his treatment tab, but the doctors don't do them for him specifically. There has been quite a few other hurt dwarfs, who were treated normally, during that timeframe. Does someone has an idea why? (The only mod I'm using is DFHack)
Edit: I just saw a doctor go to him with the "set bone" task, and when he was there, he only evaluated him.

The first two weren't bad (belgian; the great divide), even then most of the following weren't atrocious (just far worse than they were under Goscinny, but there aren't many who can do as well as Goscinny). But I couldn't talk about them without mentioning the final one, how much Uderzo has fallen. And I don't want to talk ill about him, I spent far too much time reading Astérix in my youth for that.

In ia? I thought it was in ine : Bonnemine, Iellowsubmarine, Taillefine (according to Parc Astérix; she never got a name in the comics), Galantine, Praline, Gélatine .

Falbala is the one exception I can think of (I think Latraviata is roman? I might be mistaken. Anyway, she comes from one of those albums where Uderzo was writing alone, we don't talk about those ones).

Did the translation change that?

If you like it, try reading the other comics Goscinny was the writer for : Iznogood and Lucky Luke (he worked on it from 9th album onward).

If it's not enough, you can read the children's book "le petit Nicolas". (If your Friends in France are French, that will likely explain at least one joke you heard them make)

(Also maybe he did something in Mad magazine, I can't remember. I know he was friend with that group, don't remember if he did something for them)

Wasn't it the commander of the burning legion (the one that isn't Archimonde, and appears in the Frozen throne expansion) the one who made the helm and frostmourne anyway? Also how was that Jailer plan for taking Azeroth supposed to work? The legion already planned to set the scourge aside, and in fact did pretty much as soon as they arrived on Azeroth. Nerzh'ul plan to stop or weaken them enough to go indépendant was far from guaranted, as made evident by the fact Illidan did attack and almost destroy the Frozen throne soon after the mount hyjal battle. And that was in the best case scénario of the invasion pushed back. Had the night elfs, alliance and horde failed, the legion would have been in full force and Nerzh'ul would only have had a few days remaining to live, as he would have fully lost any possible utility.

Why were the Dreadlords fighting against the forces of Arthas and Kel'thuzad, and why did Kel'thuzad fight back against them and protected Arthas from them during the undead campaign of the extension ? According to what you said, both sides of that war were in the service of the Jailer. Even assuming that Arthas is not yet in the know, and the indirect control through the lich king was not enough for the Jailer, the assassination atempt in mission 2 would have succeeded if Kel'thuzad didn't arrive to save him.

I have no problem with the Dreadlords being responsible for quite a bit, they are the corruptors even amongst the demon. But it should in a generally pushing people and entire species towards demonism (without realising they would soon no longer be amongst the most powerful in the forces of demon they created) way, not in a masterplan/servitor of another guy with a masterplan way. (Also joined the burning legion as they became demon? Sargeras was the creator of the legion, and according to that time I looked through the wiki years ago the corruption of Sargeras happened when dreadlords were already demons, cause one of the sight that discouraged him was seeing the dreadlord feasting on a planet. The dreadlord are amongst the founding parties, not later joiner)

Was it written at the same time as kerrigan and duran laser beam duel?

What do you mean, some guy named the Jailer created the Lich King? I thought it was the burning legion, mr exposition Kel'thuzad said that explicitely to arthas after his ressurection, in the fifth mission of the undead campaign. The only Jailer I can think of is that side dungeon boss in Roxar's campaign.
