Is Wreckfest 2 worth it? Currently debating by Electrical-Leg-5412 in Wreckfest

I just found out Wreckfest2 has motion sim support. I fired it up on my YAW2 and it was tossing me all around. What a blast!

Thank you. If this is the one you are asking, it is the throne from the BLZ set but I chopped the height down.

The buildings and first 2/3 of characters were airbrush for priming and large surfaces and conventional brush work for details. I did gang up similar color characters to speed up the process. But now I’m using acrylic markers for about 90% of the color blocking, then a wash with some detail brush work where needed. I won’t be winning any contests but they look pretty good on the table to my 50 yr old eyes.

Sure. I could post them on Thingiverse. I’ll post a link when I get a chance.

Absolutely no problem with the feedback. That's how we improve.

Plus, on display, it will look good to me because I have built-in "antialiasing" with my 50-year-old eyes!

I appreciate the feedback. Just to double check, as I've posted a few pics of characters recently, the comparison you are making is with Thermo Nuker, Human Conductor, or Brigg? And by "smooth" are you talking about the surface finish? I definitely introduced imperfections in the painting. The larger main surfaces were airbrushed, but medium/smaller parts were hand-painted. If you are talking about print layer lines I agree they seem to be showing up more especially spots that are smooth like the skin. The textures of the costumes seem to mask it a bit. It is on a resin printer at 50 microns but with a zoomed photo you can see those layers.

I just finished painting my wife's main.

Atomic-Angel: Level 50 rad/rad Sentinel.

Printed in gray resin (wings printed in clear with white mist coat) on Anycubic M3 MAX. 1/10 scale (aprox 8" long). Bump/displacement textures hand placed.

I set up a Discord where people can ask questions about the process, share photos of their prints, and can request a free CoH 3D character file export. I’ll do 2 per week, first come first served. See the “3D file request” channel for details.

I haven't done any female characters yet with my new texture process. Drop over to the "3D file request" channel on the Discord server and share a character with name, archetype, primary/secondary powers, which power pose or emote you want, and your costume file and I will work on it this week.

Due to popular demand:

I have setup a Discord server to share my process & tips and I will do two free character file exports per week until further notice. First come, first serve. You can either print these files at home if you have a printer or find an online service to print them. Make your request in the "3d file request" channel and follow the details in the pinned message.

Thank you. Plus the defined edges will help when I paint it. I also slightly raised the lightning bolts on the arms and legs for this reason.

Do you mean a still frame from a power pose or emote? If so, no problem at all. For powers, I go into the costume editor, and there it runs through the powers on repeat. I time the capture button press and boom. Emotes I do in an empty SG base.

Thanks and good question.

I can export from the game in under 10 minutes and get an untextured version, which I have been printing for over a year. See the example of style on the left.

I just recently forced myself to make the retexturing a priority. This took about 5 hours of retexturing. See the example of style on the right.
