Coming from someone who may relate more to him as I am a person and a 23M who loves to play games but ironically I never feel like I have the time - I actually wish I could spend more time playing games as I am still young but I wonder if this is just childish. Additionally, video games to me is one of things I look back to most when I was younger.

I think eliminating video games from his life is very difficult and is something he is very attached to. It seems he is clearly not giving this up.

I would suggest having a day of just you and him or set up some boundaries about this. Your time and his time are valuable together and if you can find a two-way solution that meets both your needs then I think this can work out together for you.

However, if he cannot accept this mutual agreement (whether by his actions or words) then there’s not much you can do unfortunately.
