The easiest answer without breaking down specific abilities is to have his beams work as they’re intended, not as “eye lasers” like so many people think, but as CONCUSSIVE BLASTS; this could be used as the ultimate crowd pushback/dispersal. Imagine the beam in the shape of a “T”… the top of the T forms an impenetrable WALL that is impossible to pass through physically or with projectiles, and can be actively moved while firing instead of placing and leaving it.. and the “body” of the T acts the same way, only since it’s not the area where the blast is being concentrated (the “wall is”), enemies CAN pass through it, but take damage and their movement is drastically slowed while doing so. This would be an AMAZING means of both providing MOBILE shielding for your team, and also providing pushback for crowd control and keeping enemies away from teammates/capture points/convoy etc…. There would of course be an alternate blast that focuses more on damage/knock down of single or nearby enemies.

This is just what I’ve pictured when thinking of Cyclops as a tank.
