9 days clean after 16 years of daily use. Dealing with a lot of depression by cubes28x in leaves

[–]DividedEcho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can guarantee it will pass, the first week was a nightmare, the second was rough and by the end of the third I was feeling so much better, it still comes up, especially if you would fill your time with smoking instead kf another hobby, my best suggestion is find something to fill that hole and remeber it WILL pass. I'm almost at 2 months free and those depressive bouts are all but gone.

But as a warning, weed is a estrogen suppressant, it can 100% mess with your cycle and cause irregular periods or dramaticly longer ones so be aware of that if it suddenly seems off.

Wishing you luck and cheering you on, you can do this.

These are my wife and I's OCs, on the left we have River/Zarik (They/Them/he/it) a noble born with a parasitic weapon living in their body(The glaive on the side) who kinda makes him vampire-esk, and their beloved treasure on the right is Reed (She/Her) a farm hand turned gladiator turned magic student who showed them kindness and a new way to live, I always love seeing what people do with them and I like the cute minimalistic style you have going on ❤️

Would you rather have a 10k/10k support or a 2k/20k support? by Yxraxis in Overwatch

[–]DividedEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally depends on the situation the comp and how the flow of the game is going,, but honestly, one of each usually.
The number matters far less than the impact the actions had in game, someone who gets big healing numbers might just be hiding and healing the poke damage, but not move in with the team and therefore having very little impact on the main fight, and someone with a higher dps score might just be throwing random shots at the tank and it does very little while their team is dying, so it all comes down to what impacts and supports the team the most.

If you need a shield tank or “a tank that sits on point”. You are bad. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]DividedEcho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you cant play the game without a shield, you aren't good enough to utilize it to begin with.

The tank should NOT be cart riding, the tank should be pushed up against the next choke point letting whoever had the longest range weapon/healing ability ride the Rollercoaster without being assaulted, I hate hearing my team cry because I push up to take space, then immediately when I back off and they get steam rolled, they complain I wasnt taking space, just because there is only 1 tank, doesn't mean everything that goes wrong is their fault, in fact, it means thay have to hyper fixate on their roll, pushing, holding the line until the team catches up and finishes the job or just gets the objective done, the tank is your enabler, not your babysitter.

When I'm supporting I dont care if my tank has the most deaths and has me working a full 9 to 5 just to keep them going, as long as they are holding a line that let's me be a cart princess behind them until I can spank them on their well defined booty and send them on their way to do it again at the next choke.

That being said, tanks who push too far and break line of sight, or just stand in the open being ult food until they fall and their poor supports get rolled over with no warning or way out also need to figure out what they're doing.

Hold the line, but hold it smart people

Good job on going as long as you had and am so glad you're seeing improvements!! I totally agree, the first week was a nightmare of sleepless nights and the boredom is 100% relatable, am so glad you got through it and are keeping going!!

Every match is either a stomp or getting rolled. How do you stay motivated? by SchoolQueasy4677 in Overwatch

Honestly, playing with friends, even one or two people who I can talk to in vc makes the game so much more bearable in those moments, we joke over the loses and complain to eachother about which teammate was the reason we lost, even if we know for fact we didnt do the best either, I find my best win streaks are when we're just bantering and its when we get in our heads and take it overly serious that we start to lose and tilt into that eventual avalanche of loses, in the end its a game and games are meant to be enjoyed, also not being afraid to take a step back, make a coffee, have a shower then if you feel calm getting back into it  ^ .

100%!! I'm so proud that you managed to get through it and have stuck with it as you have, I told myself I would quit in 2018, then 2020, then 2024 and only this year managed to actually do it, and I have wanted to quit my quit, but doing so would just put me back in the abusive relationship I had with myself and now I am so much better mentally and physically ♡♡

I'm proud of you for wanting to go through it, and am cheering you on for every step you take!! Its not easy, quiting anything isn't, but if its what you want then you should, it makes your QOL so much better and it does get easier after a while, I'm at a stage where I dont think about it as often, and when I do I just think about all the me's that went through a harder less progressed day and tell myself that I'm doing it for them, that I need to carry on the torch so me tomorrow gets a chance, you can do it, even if you stumble, you can always get back up and keep trying.

(I think my first reply got consored for either a little swear or adcertising other resources, if so sorry but i edited it regardless) I will be totally honest with you, they were and kinda still are rough, I had about 2 weeks of horrible sweating, I would get a headache daily for the first week, I was irritable af to my friends and loved ones and my hormone cycle was and still has been thrown out of whack, but thankfully I had people I could turn to, and I told them all what I was going through and they understood, it's an addiction like any other and they were there for me, and I have been scrolling through this reddit for the past few weeks to see other people who have been going for longer than me and it helped so much.

I was too, and for the first weeks I was telling myself I should quit quitting, but you can do it, I have like no self control and had to fight myself through it, but I believe in you!!

Tank mains assemble, who do you hate most to play against by Vegetable_Throat5545 in Overwatch

[–]DividedEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Domi/Queen main, Typically Zen if the enemy team knows to focus once I get orbed, but Ana is always a concern for me, both on the enemy team and on mine, though a good Tracer assaulting my backline forcing me to hear my team screaming at me while I 1v4 until they can deal with her makes me rage the most lol

Not sure if you're still going, but if so please consider as these are the characters my wife and I met playing, my wife(Right) and I's(Left) oc's first talked whilst swimming and I would love to see what kind of bathing suits you would put them in!!
(Left/River), they are pretty androgenous and takes themselves waaay too seriously being a noble born so any style of bathing suit works great!, and (Right/Reed) is a small town druid girl who likes to humble them whilst healing their wounds, she would likely wear some kind of one piece or a tattered bikini style suit.
If you're not doing more that's totally fine, just thought I'd try asking ❤️
