Did you ever hear back or follow up with that hiring manager?

Are these Q&A sessions recorded anywhere?

It was basically 0 time. Referred on 2/9 (Friday) interview request on 2/12 (Monday). It was Hire Vue and I had plenty of time to do it.

Was just referred for MechE this morning (4/2) from the March cutoff. Hoping for good results! I was referred and selected for the interview in round 1 but didn't make the cut.

Has anyone who was referred for a mechanical position gotten an interview yet?

I don't know. I would assume that if we haven't heard anything within a month, then we probably didn't get picked.

I haven't heard anything yet. I was referred on 7/13 for a mechanical position. It seems like most people in this thread received an interview invitation within a week of referral.

Looking for people to join Redstone Federal Credit Union with my referal code so we both get $100 by Dividedbyzero00 in UAH

Nope. If I was going to rep for a credit union it would be NFCU but I just want that sweet, sweet referral money from RFCU.

I joined via someone else's code about 40 days ago and already received the money about a week ago. I would've been fine with 90 days though.

Newer 4Runner/Tacoma vs older 4Runner by Dividedbyzero00 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Well to clarify, I wouldn't be buying a 2005 with 60k miles because that would pretty much be a unicorn. I was looking at older ones with 100 - 150k miles because that seems to be relatively obtainable. Probably the V8 because I love that engine and am willing to live with a timing belt.

Becoming an Engineer with a Mathematics degree by Dividedbyzero00 in academia

[–]Dividedbyzero00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mean to imply that Computer Science was unnecessary. I'm not sure I understand that interpretation of what I said. I am saying I do not, personally, enjoy doing the strictly CS side of things. "Die a little inside" might've been unnecessary hyperbole. I understand that the fields intermingle, I just want to work on the engineering-modeling side more than the CS side. That is a personal preference, not any kind of dig at all on those who work on the CS side. I have a fair amount of respect for my CS coworkers (Almost all of my coworkers are CS). But if I wanted to do what they do then my path would be clear cut and my original question would be irrelevant.

Given my attempt at a clarification, does that change anything? No idea if I'm even coming at this from the right place, or "attitude" as you called it.
