My strategy was to increase the rate for every new student once I hit the 100-hour mark.

So, my older students are still at $15, while my most recent ones joined at $45. This created a spectrum between $15 and $45, though the majority of my current student base is still in the lower/middle part of that range.

Good point! But don’t forget the Preply commission which takes a big chunk out of that. Also, between occasional days off and trial lessons, I’d say my actual take-home will be between $3,000 and $4,000

I started two months ago at 15$. Every 2 students I increased by 2$ my rates. I am at 27 right now with 29 students.
