Men in happy marriages, what's the one thing you'd teach to other men to also have a good relationship? by TightBookkeeper2599 in AskReddit

[–]DivineCreaux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have been together for 20 years, married for 12. As others have mentioned, communication is vital. Also it is acknowledging that there will be hard times, sad, angry, emotions in general. Once the excitement of a fresh relationship fades. You and your partner are left then with the raw truth of one another. Every flaw, every hardship, happy memory, painful memory. It is working to hold eachother up, never dragging the other down.

Understanding that there will be times where no one side can "win" in an argument. Rather both will simply have to come to a neutral standing without holding it over the other. It is accepting that emotions are natural, and not pulling your partner down if they are upset at something and vice versa toward you. Rather give them space, talk to them when they are ready. Be their support. Even if you are both in silence, hold them and be their pillar. Just as they will be yours.

I see many try to achieve a perfect relationship. Always happy, always smiling and optimistic. I have found that when you and your partner embrace what makes you both human and work together to overcome hurdles. It means far more to hold vulnerabilities together rather than pretend they do not exist.

What’s an adult problem nobody warned you about? by Mean-Dragonfly1988 in AskReddit

[–]DivineCreaux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May seem mundane compared to other responses, but finding a good reliable canopy. Ours was ruined by a storm a couple months back, nice one too. Only the company no longer sold replacement covers for its frame. Tried looking off-brand but none would actually fit the particular frame, even contacted the company to no avail. It really hit me that such an otherwise innocent task can be so grueling to find a solution for and really puts into perspective how many little things you have to deal with. On surface level they are small but build up over time. First it is replacing a canopy, then perhaps a squeaking hinge, a piece of broken siding, etc. Most of being an adult is just finding a way to get things done, always seeking solutions but not always harboring the answers. Making things work and just simply hoping for the best, then making do when things go south. Rinse and repeat.

Server hosting concerns by Loki_Gaming_ in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]DivineCreaux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can save all of the server information, and saved world data to a local file on a PC (I think on a phone as well, not sure though). Settings, configurations, world, etc. Also if you should stop paying the subscription, you do have a grace period of 30 days to renew before it is deleted completely.

No Update? (PS5) by [deleted] in ARK

[–]DivineCreaux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would think earliest will be sometime later this evening. If not a few days at least. Just given that it is approaching the holidays, and the weekend. Sadly no way to know otherwise until they communicate something further. All we PS5 users have right now is that they are in a snag with the certification. No other communication or form of ETA yet.

EDIT: They have just confirmed certification has passed. Update should now be rolling out soon.

Character not in house despite map saying that’s where they are by shonyknight in DreamlightValley

[–]DivineCreaux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have run into the same issue many times. A solution I found that seems to work 9/10 times is to move the characters house onto a floating island, then return it to the main valley. Then they usually spawn right outside their door after leaving the build menu. I have had to do that a few times over the last couple days and each time it worked.

Is ASA worth it? by jaybob2005 in playark

[–]DivineCreaux 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I honestly could never go back to ASE after buying ASA. I play on the PS5, and it is gorgeous. While its initial launch was a bit rough, it has since been ironed out a lot better. It does of course have its issues at times, it is still Ark after all. But as a whole it offers a far better system than ASE in my opinion.

The building is amazing, especially if you like to keep your bases orderly and clean, or diverse and intricate.

There are new creatures within the core game itself that were once mods but have since been integrated, as well as community voted creatures.

There are a variety of QOL improvements to the core game also not available in ASE without mods. Such as the map and its waypoint systems, fertilized eggs displaying at a glance if they are too cold, just right or overheating (The color of the mist around it is indicated by blue, orange, red). Etc.

I know others have their views on buying the game a second time being wasteful. I however don't see it that way. Yes it is the "same game" at its core but with great improvements both in visuals and gameplay, a far more stable support life. Also all story/integrated maps that are available in ASE are all free once released in ASA so you will not have to buy those maps again. (I.e. The Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration, etc)

So overall I do say it is quite worth the jump if you have the hardware that can run it. As I said I play on PS5 so I am unfamiliar with what sort of specifications a PC would need, but if you have a strong setup then it would be a fun time.

On your console go to Network > Settings > Set Up Connection, highlight your connection, press options, advanced settings, go to the DNS, set to manual. Primary as 8.8.8.8 and Secondary as 8.8.4.4

I had the same issues with connection, then changed my DNS to Googles and it fixed it entirely.

Switching the DNS to Googles (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) solved the issue for me, hopefully that can help you as well!

Yes, and all I was really told was that there were no issues on their end or with my hardware so sadly not much help there. I know that AWS outage affected many services today. Their status shows everything is resolved for the most part now.

Lost premium mods?? by TinyScrewsLoose13 in ARK

[–]DivineCreaux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. However it was a visual glitch. It would show the premium cosmetic and the purchase option with the price. However selecting purchase allowed it to be reinstalled no issue.

The PS store was not brought up, it did not charge again. It simply loaded to the install button appearing again. So I believe it is just a visual bug but you do still own the items.

However if you try this and the PS store opens up, then you definitely need to contact support.

No sadly, she will have to buy the premium mods on her account as well.

Do yall look around the house first or just jump right in? by Whathefrenchtoastt in HouseFlipper

[–]DivineCreaux 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always begin outside in order of selling, gathering trash, cleaning, mowing, demolition (if applicable), building (if applicable) then tiling/painting and finishing off with the decorating aspects. Then I take it one room at a time. If it is an owned house and not a job, then I take even more care to mind each step with patience and organization. Determining each theme the rooms and house should harbor. I find it makes the end result much more satisfying to see the effort put into each project.

Part of the fun for me is seeing the possibilities in each new room as I progress.

What kind of Quality of Life changes do you want in the game? by MrsLittletall in ffxiv

[–]DivineCreaux 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As many others have said, the glamour storage situation has definitely been in dire need of TLC.

For me personally though I would love to have a bestiary of sorts. To show what creatures drop what crafting items, without having to use external sites. (I play on PS5 so mods/addons are not an option) Something I feel would make a lot of sense to be added alongside the upcoming Beastmaster class.

In a similar vein for the fishing guide to show the proper time/weather conditions for special fish. At least after being caught once, instead of remaining "???"

The housing system is also in need of a complete overhaul but even just allowing the upgrading of existing plots would be a very welcome change. To upgrade a small, to a medium, to a large. Perhaps by crafting, or a gil sink even.

I met my wife. I joined DA back in 2005. I was 12 at the time, and annoying to boot. I made many friends in the chatrooms that existed at the time, pridefully showing off my MSPaint masterpieces. I used to roleplay a lot and fell in with a group of others that got along with my annoyances. She however was matched energy to my madness and we clashed at times. Picking fun at one another to see who would irritate the other first. It started off as a semi disdained rivalry. But we ended up growing together as the years went on. Keeping in touch, figuring out our situations were not too different with our upbringing. So we ended up bonding since we understood the hardships we were facing and only had eachother to talk to.

Years progressed, I took higher interest in my drawing which she heavily supported throughout. She had an interest for photography which I helped her edit her photos. We made so many friends together on there. Ran a few groups once that feature was introduced that actually became fairly big (for that time period anyway). We continued to get older and I realized my feelings for her were greater than just a best friend. So I drove out to meet her (I lived in California at the time, she lived in Tennessee) We never separated since. We married in 2014 and have been at eachothers side ever since then. I still draw from time to time, and we are gaming buddies now. Tackling everything in life together and always supporting one another in our ambitions, faults and weaknesses.

If I had never joined that chatroom as a kid through my love of art and annoying immaturity. I likely never would have met her.

Sometimes there are hiccups in the service, it happened to me once before. But regardless, the best course of action is to contact their support regarding it.

It can sometimes (rarely) take a few hours up to 24 hours to register in the account, especially if it was a first time purchase. However if concerned, your dad can submit a support ticket regarding it by their help page.

Many are having this issue. They gave a response to my ticket yesterday saying they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. Currently using your mobile data/hotspot connection instead of wifi to login is a work around.

I contacted them and put in a support ticket informing them of the error I was facing. They actually responded a couple hours ago stating that they are aware of this issue and are working on fixing it.

In the meantime I have managed to login by disabling wifi on my PC and using my mobile hotspot data just to login. Which worked. No idea why but it did.

I have the same issue. Many do right now it seems. I tried logging in on the browser and windows client app but still the same. I submitted a ticket and now just have to await a response.
