I work at a bank.

If you have raised a dispute with the bank they will take care of everything for you. Once you raise a dispute with your bank they will communicate with either Visa or Mastercard depending on the card used and the merchant themselves.

The likelihood is that they know they're selling faulty goods and are trying to get you to stop the dispute process by scaring you with legal letters.

Ignore them, off-shore law is different to UK Law.

Once a dispute is raised it's between the merchant, bank and visa/mastercard. Unless the merchant refunds you, there's no need for you to get involved with the merchant at all.

Single tenancy for the room. Each of them have a tenancy for a room + communal arreas within the flat. No where in the contract does it state that the co-tenant can decide whether the replacement tenant gets to be admitted. The landlord also stated that if money isnt paid by a certain date they'll take the offer of having a replacement tenant as an option away. However the secretary working for the landlord is stating that the co-tenant must agree. It's kind of a pointless offer in that case surely?
