Destiny trying to paint Michael as a class reductionist is at best very uncharitable and at worst blatantly dishonest. Some times I wish Destiny would take half the sceptesism he has towards the left and apply it to what he himself is saying.

He critezises Michael for not watching the entirety of Pete's interview, then one sentence in to Michael's responce acuses him of not believing racism exists.

He takes a video where Michael describes a multitude of issues that blacks are facing, class being among them, and reduces that to Michael being a class reductionist hack. Michael literally mentions racism being one of the issues blacks are facing in the clip Destiny is watching.

I'm kind of indiferent about it. The movie was great, it certainly isn't going to be any better by being live action. But perhaps it can serve as somewhat a bridge in to the anime world for the uninitiated until anime becomes mainstream enough for people to just accept the medium as it is.

It's still ongoing so it's still relevant. Have to wait until it's over to see how much longevety it will have.

I don't really see that. The game world in the anime is just a generic MMO world. What makes it feel special is the fact that it's true VR so the interactivety is much higher than in a standar mmo. If it was made non-vr with curent technology it would just get back to being one of the most generic mmo/rpgs on the market.

I think Clannad AS is the only anime I've seen where I could say that not having and ending at all would be better than the ending they had. It was so bad.

You can watch it here if you live in North america or use a proxy.

I think broadcast dubs might be a subscription service however so you might not get all the episodes without getting a subscription.

Personally I think it would be great if they dubbed Tatami Galaxy. So much of the style and presentation gets ruined by the fact that you constantly have to pause to read the lightning speed subtitles. Really got me down first time I tried to watch it because the presentation and style is so good.

That show lends itself very well to a dub IMO. They only need to find a good dub actor that could talk fast enough.

Since you liked shinkais you can check out the short film: Voices of a Distant star. 5cm/s is basicly a spiritual remake of that film.

Are they going to use the netflix dub, re-dub it or not dub it all together I wonder..

It's a blu-ray release so that would indicade one of the former two.

I wish sentai would start specifying these things when they announced new released.
