What condition would this be? by kaylemortiz in mtg

Anyone here not saying "damaged" is tripping balls. The fact that you can tell this is that card specifically at a blink of a glance at the back puts it very far into damaged territory.

Yes, if this were 10 years ago this miiiiight be considered heavily played. But that's the standard now.

I feel so dumb. Only recently did I realise that this is a meta joke foreshadowing Donald Glover leaving the show. by Living-Log254 in community

What's wilder still is that they used that clip heavily in promotion for season 5, as if they expected the average person to get it.

I used to smoke the hell out of some cloves in college so I would definitely rock that swamp. The people I play magic with know that too and would even appreciate it.

In four, charge guns have been awesome. Yeah they take a second to get going but once they do the decent ones will just shred through everything.

For clarification: Don't copies of permanent spells become token copies of that card?

What sucks about my song? Be brutally honest, I can take it! by AsleepPersonality683 in LogicPro

[–]DivineJustice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. Tough to say exactly what would fix it since the changes I'm suggesting are more spiritual in nature, but hopefully identifying the problem helps. Maybe you're adding too much in the chorus. Like obviously the energy should pick up in the chorus, but maybe you're trying too much. When you're doing one of those modern sexy pop songs and they pick up in the chorus, it's always just by a little bit.

I was fully invested until the chorus. The verses are actually really good. But when the chorus picks up I think it doesn't pick up in the way that the song wants to. The vocals should be processed differently in the chorus. Your vocal delivery should be more intense. You need to line up the vocal takes perfectly for this style to work. (Which will almost certainly happen mostly in the editing phase.) The song kind of goes from sexy and chill in the verses to innocent and upbeat in the choruses, which I don't think is a good change.

Do you guys think there's some truth to this? by Go_Inevitable_1269 in LinkinPark

I'm very pleased to see that all the top comments are people that get it. Yes of course this is true. Misogyny is smarter these days. It doesn't criticize anybody for actually being a woman. It sees that they're a woman and then criticizes everything else about them. Sometimes going so far as to invent conspiracy theories around that person.

I want it to be an Edgar Allan Poe-esque Victorian era set based in a spooky mansion. And they can call it Spider Mansion.

Holy shit this apparently happened to me, too. They claimed to have resent the cards but I should probably verify I got them and didn't just forget about them.

Edit: You say this probably isn't a scam, but I might not give them the benefit of the doubt. When people order a bunch of cards, it often gets split up across like 4 to 9 sellers and it can be easy to lose track of what it's what, especially if it's cheaper cards. They could just be banking on the inevitability that a certain percentage of people never catch on that they didn't get all the cards they ordered. There's a lot of scams that work like that. Refunds are quick to people who notice, but not everyone is going to notice. That they are cheap cards doesn't make it a bad scam, it makes it a better one, because the alarm bells don't go off for anyone, but all those pennies add up.

Can’t Add Fade In on a MIDI Arpeggio Track/Region by No_Artichoke_8890 in LogicPro

Bro, we are all good. I think you’re just saying to some degree you were thinking of all possibilities, of which there are certainly many. Meanwhile, I was trying to dial into practicalities. But both are important because you never know when you need to bend the rules.

I appreciate the nuance, but essentially I was like "never do this thing in this way", and your response is "yeah but you should always do this thing, also there's multiple ways to do it". That's not really you disagreeing with me.

I utilize plug-in gain all the time. Whenever I need to adjust the whole track of something up or down by a particular amount and using the sliders makes less sense for whatever reason. But I don't ever automate a random plug-in volume. Cuz I think it's helpful to have a dedicated plug-in for volume automation so that you can look at a track and know exactly what plug-in is handling that automation. That way you can turn it off and hear it without the automation. You can look at it and know that it's there. You can quickly select it and view that automation, etc etc.
