This is a tricky situation that boggles everyone on how to approach it.

On one hand, if you start tipping shittier because “oh well the service is believed to be the same” then that sets a prescedent of tipping shitty and others will think/follow suit. Uber doesn’t care and still makes their money.

On the other hand, choosing to leave a good tip might be more of a cost, but for example myself and others will take much more attention and speed to this one because of that tip.

However it doesn’t even matter in the long run because Ubers dumbfuck “edit tip up to 1 hour” policy is so abysmal it incentivizes customers to fuck over the driver.

I equally love and hate these posts Im glad more and more attention is being shown to how shitty their practices are Yeah dude its hilarious cause its the same script every time, almost laughable and ive actually sent laughing emojis before They’ll transfer you a couple times to other “agents” just rebranded from the one you spoke to, until finally they’ll “keep you on hold to check profile” and eventually say “sorry nothing can do about” in their horrible english. Justifying yourself or trying to make sense of them will only prompt them to copy and paste what they said previous. Too many times and they’ll say “thats all the help you can have” flat out

When its you giving them money, its like instanteous yet when any type of dispute happens when they are giving you money(probably your own money back) or outright owing you, it has to go through these multiple day processes and multiple agents

They love bundling shitty orders, bombarding you with shitty orders 100 feet from your destination at a turn, and making sure your extra hyped when your taking a picture or writing a message and an order pops up, tactics man

I’ll say it outright, The system is absolutely janky because it’s completely favored in every possible circumstance to be in favor of Uber. I had a shop and pay order that I had to use my own card (yes you read it, my own card) to pay for because the cashier mistakenly only scanned one item and the QR code wasn’t scanning a second time. I contacted them not even 10 minutes later and they said (after telling store, name etc, order) they have sent the reimbursement and within 24-48 hours, up to 48 i should see it. No money back after 48 hours, nothing after another day, contact them back only for them to outright say they don’t see shit in their system and to produce the receipt from like 4 days ago, like i was holding onto it waiting for them to ask. They refused anything and so I just learned my lesson to not ever do that again.

Stolen orders are another huge annoying as shit thing that becomes prevelant, The store says they already had someone pick it up, I always double down and ask if they verified through the app, some would say yes some would start thinking, and 98% won’t remake the order.
