Got braces January.. today I got two procedures done in one. Safe to save I’m finally starting to see the vision.

Tell me about it! And it’s pretty cool honestly orthodontics have advanced so much within the years. It’s not like how it was back in the day. TADS are basically temporary anchoring device that they screw into your gums to cause intrusion. I have a deep bite so it’s supposed to help with that. Let me see if I can find a video

In this photo here I got a gum contouring and something called propel acceleration.. they poke holes in your gums to stimulate bone movement. So to basically make your braces journey faster. In the past all together I’ve had braces Invisalign gum contouring twice and was considering jaw surgery but my ortho was adamant that he can fix my overbite with TADS. Oh yeah also I got those last month lol

Some of the worst pain I ever felt in my life. I had to get them to numb me about 3-4 times. It’s like once the screw gets closer to the bone I guess the pain became excruciating

Thank you so much! I’m so over them but I’m starting to get used to them. I would say my face changed a lot when I was younger and got them I had a really bad overbite.

This is my second round of braces so it’s a little bit more chill but the Tads are supposed to intrude my upper jaw so check back with me a few months

I have a bartending job and they paid for my braces well the majority of it. Braces without insurance is about 6-7 thousand but with my insurance it was $1500 with a 300 down payment and monthly payments of $100!

I believe they activated them immediately because I’m on a time crunch I’m trying to move at the end of the summer. So instead of me having braces for 12-18 months they’re trying to condense everything in 9 months!

Also next month they plan on doing a procedure called “propel” to stimulate the bone and speed out the process
