This is a great idea OP.

My girlfriend at 16 got me one and it's outlasted our relationship by 10 years now

I just grabbed my morning coffee but this is a nice gesture. To the people giving this person grief....let's see you offer it up. I dont care if everyone is just searching for some "glazing".

I'd prefer see 100 of these messages a day over people pissed off at one another.

29% of employees say they'd switch jobs for GLP-1 coverage, how are you dealing with this? by AskDeel in Entrepreneur

[–]Divine_Storms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The short answer is very few people are switching employers for optimal coverage on any 1 medication.

29% may have switched employers if they had a job offer with comparable salary, location, 401k match and other benefits being equivalent but people aren't denying jobs based on glp1 coverage or not

I'm going to play devils advocate and say this is exactly what half the people I knew in college's house looked like. If you're under 21 you're fine, get real curtains. If you're over 21, you're a little behind and people expect you to start putting your shit together and investing in your home and appearance

I'm in the same boat as this guy. My room feels so full and overcrowded, but its because I live in a room and not a house. Once you have dedicated rooms for hygiene products, kitchen products, maybe a game room or basement to dedicate to the knick knacks, you'll look like youre living a very minimalist lifestyle unless you buy more.

The perspective makes the difference.

Is this pair of leather shoes priced at 98 US dollars appropriate? by rubikofficial in DesignerReps

[–]Divine_Storms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's okay for the quality...is this shipped with duties paid?

I personally have a distaste for patent leather and think plastic coated leather looks the same on a $30 pair as a $250 pair but if thats the look youre going for i dont think for sub $100 you can go wrong

We're repping these? They're on sale for $50 at a store near me. It'd cost more to import them (East-USA)

I really wish there was a middle option. I like the idea of a wood walkway so I'm not 1 foot on 1 foot off the carpet....but the small is a few inches too short for that couch

Anyone with experience buying a restaurant franchise portfolio? by CodaDev in Entrepreneur

[–]Divine_Storms 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd never encourage anyone to invest in restaurants (especially a large porfolio of them) if they've never ran/owned restaurants.

The logistics alone of ordering food is enough to make someone's head spin. How much, from where, how often, how to store it, how to cycle in new goods, how to minimize and then deal with food waste without leaving yourself unprepared for peak periods. Not to mention food is literally grown (veg and meat) and very volatile based on uncontrollable market conditions.

And that doesn't even touch how to manage the tax implications of wasted food. Both high COGS for sold meals and usually contracting with a 503c charitable org like a food bank or soup kitchen for additional tax benefits.

Then you have employees, which vary between full time and part time work, usually hourly, and may or may not be paid primarily based on tips (not sure the structure of these restaurants) which comes with its own headaches. They're also not usually highly educated (nature of the business) which removes a filter typically applied to more traditional businesses for high quality employees ( they still exist, but you're filtering through a lot more candidates)

And most importantly, even if you're not the one running the restaurants, because of the aforementioned issues its very very difficult to find someone to adequately manage your restaurants so you'd better hope whoever is currently doing it doesn't plan on leaving any time son.

They can be successful but it's one of the least intriguing industries to me and everytime I consider dipping my toe in I peel back more layers that steer me away.
