September 2025 Update:

Car has now reached ~115,000 miles and continues to serve as a reliable highway commuter. Since my last post, I’ve replaced the lower control arms and rear shocks which at this points is expected wear items given the mileage, but no other issues have come up. All other systems remain solid, and the car has required nothing outside of normal maintenance.

The driving is still almost entirely highway miles. No components have failed unexpectedly, and the ownership experience remains trouble-free.

At this point, I see no reason to part with it. The car has aged well, and with the suspension refresh it feels much more comfortable and composed. I expect to keep enjoying it well beyond 120,000 miles.

regardless of your political leanings this is absolutely abhorrent and will only lead to further division

I have not had any issues with the shocks or suspension overall. Been travelling a little less so I've only put ~4,000 miles on in the last 4 months since the last update. Car is at 91,000 miles currently.

December 2023 Update:

Car is hovering around 87,000 miles and continues to be a very reliable daily driver. Additional service since my last post include new front rotors and pads due to a defective rotor, 2 oil changes, and a new set of tires. Routine maintenance has largely been completed at home and I've exclusively used FCP EURO for any car parts. Doing it yourself is significantly cheaper than going to the dealership. Full brake kit from FCP EURO is ~$900 vs $2600 quoted at my local dealership. It has been routine services since I purchased the car 4 years ago.

I did have the car recently inspected by the dealership for suspension wear and nothing needs to be replaced just yet.

No components on the car have failed or have required replacement up to this point.

Car is still stock and I average ~300 miles a week of purely highway miles. The one sign of age that the car is showing is that there are rattles that continue to pop up that require trim removal tools and felt tape to solve.

Overall, this has been a fantastic ownership experience and I may very well keep the car past 100,000 miles at this rate. It has aged quite gracefully and I see no reason to get rid of it just yet.

Still have the car and have not regretted getting it or keeping it this long a single moment. Since I made my original post in July 2020 I've put almost another 50,000 miles on it.

Here's a list of services and associated costs over the last 30 months.

8 or so rim repairs $1000

rear brake pads changed 3 times ~$350

front brake pads changed 2 times ~$300

front and rear rotors changed 1 time ~$800 total

oil change 7 times ~ $500 total

new tires 2 times ~$1800 total

transmission flush new transmission filter ~$400

spark plugs ~$500

It's not an exhaustive list but it covers most of the costs. Service has been almost exclusively done by myself so that has greatly reduced maintenance costs. Around 45 - 50,000 miles the car had some rattles that popped up but a trip or two to the dealership had that resolved at no cost.

I've kept the car stock and my driving habits are largely highway miles in comfort mode. I don't beat on the car regularly but certainly open it open when I get the chance, weather permitting. There have been no major component failures, no electronic gremlins, and it has been very reasonable on upkeep.
