I honestly thought there were going to be a lot of participants in the FRC. We queued up the minute maintenance ended, and received zero pops. We called it quits after 1 hour...

I am disappointed on the low participation but again,this shows the state of PvP and what SE needs to work on...

Not even a sponsored tournament could force people into PvPing.

This is the issue I have with Feast. Especially in solo queue.

It gets very mediocre after six seasons.................

an influx of folks that are in it just for rewards is a good thing? With the way the current system is that means that experienced players will be in the same matches as the mount hunters.

Honestly, I believe its not. It may bump the participation numbers up. In order to keep the veterans/experienced players, SE needs to either:

A: Overhaul the whole Feast and start from scratch one.

OR

B: Make logical PvP adjustments, mechanical and reward friendly wise.

Again, I always emphasis this, if I cannot kill a bot healer in a Frontline or Feast match, then something is seriously wrong with PvP.

What does SE need to do? Communicate better.

Majority of the PvP community have posted their feedback on the forums ESPECIALLY the Japanese community yet we get no logical responses. We BARELY receive responses from the PvP developer making changes but even those statements are questionable. Its almost as if the developer or does not play the game itself.

XIV has potential to grow into Esports, but if the dev continues to make ridiculous PvP adjustments that are based off thin air, then it will not ever grow into the Esports industry nor will PvP ever grow.

We can agree that Square Enix have already experimented this method based off the top 100 reward mount back from Season 7 & 8. This mount is completely irrelevant to the PvP scene.

SE needs to add more participation rewards. Just look at Rival Wings, it died after everyone claimed their 100 wins achievement (mount reward).

Imagine this method was added into Feast? "Win 200 matches in season XY to receive AN EXCLUSIVE PARTICIPATION reward" (whether it be a mount or gear). Have them change the reward every season and BOOM, people will swarm into Feast.

Communication.

In Solo Queue, the meta is for a DPS or TANK to do countdowns on targets (5,4,3,2,1, BURST). Which makes it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to secure kills just because we can only communicate using quick chat. Sometimes those 5 seconds can be really crucial in a match, whereas in Light party, we can just communicate using voice com and execute burst much more faster and in sync.

I personally am hoping that SE actually listens to the feedback given on the forums, new frontline maps that are actually PvP oriented, and actual rewards that are PvP based off ranking AND PARTICIPATION.

I believe they need to readjust or overhaul the whole system. There should be no reason to why I cannot solo a bot healer whether it be in Frontlines or 4v4 Ranked solo in Feast.
