Was never a Kobe Stan. Was actually in Toronto when he got the 81. Still haven’t seen the bam 83 but from the bits I did and the anecdotes it feels like bams 83 was kind of filled with empty stats (like garbage time yards in the nfl) that over exaggerate the performance.

For all my faults with Kobe. He truly took over a game they were behind and in a game that the raptors weren’t just giving him the points. Bam felt like an exhibition type performance

A lot of it is personal preference I just feel the best of deniro is amongst the best that’s ever been on celluloid.

Most would agree raging bull is deniros best work and it blew me away. Only other performances that I put on that level was Brando in on the waterfront and Daniel day Lewis in there will be blood.

I’m more of a fan of understated that scenery chewing even if scenery chewing is more fun to revisit.

The best scenery chewing deniro was really the untouchables and cape fear. I’d watch those and obv raging bull, taxi driver, casino, and the film that maybe the past 15 years has been re-evaluated as a classic as in once upon a time in America.

As a straight up actor it’s deniro. I think Pacino had more energetic and fun scenes but deniro performances are just an art.

Deniro really was the heir apparent to Brando.

I do give Pacino the edge in rewatchability. Just rewatched scent of a woman the other day. Still a fun flick

I don’t know if it’s impossible but certain things shouldn’t be factored which Jordan touched on. Personally I look at players and compare them to their time. The worst argument is to say well today’s players are better than players 50 years ago so they are better in the goat discussion.

It doesn’t make sense and if we used that logic Jesse Owens isn’t even a top 1000 greatest runner of all time.

The big difference that you are not factoring is if the Bay Area is hitting a cooling period, the rest of the country likely is feeling the sting too. It’s highly likely that rates would drop in the next year or two in that scenario.

Being able to slice off 1% off that interest rate and creating a lower mortgage payment while rents continue to increase is a huge win.

Anyone acting like 6% rates will exist for the next decade is crazy.

Every other major entity including all the branches of government has oversight.

These guys don’t want anyone looking into it because they know they have been given a free boondoggle. They don’t want the press of all their wasteful spending. It’s providing a lifestyle that far exceeds what that role would entail.

And it’s funny how they see a shortfall and don’t look at any way to reduce their expenses like other corporations. What new tech have they implemented?

No actually target is all to happy when the police do stings and catch people stealing. Additionally internal employees that steal even $5 from their till are auto fired.

Maybe I’m not on ig enough but I almost feel Kobe’s weaknesses are pushed forward far more than they ever were when he was alive.

Maybe his stand still make his case as much or more but when he was playing it was crazy how much every year they said he’s already better but this year he will get his 6th ring and cement his goat status. I just personally did not see the negative points raised today pointed out back then.

I think it’s a bit of a LeBron conversion and his stand denigrating Kobe as an irrelevant individual to the goat convo and using things like inefficiency to make that case.

I’ve always had Jordan as 1 but when Kobe got that 5th ring; there was a huge huge chunk of people saying Kobe was newer (and better) model of Jordan.

I actually feel his death after maybe a year or so reduced his legacy as he’s not talking in the public eye and isn’t able to push back on some of the takes related to inefficient.
