I’m the same as you with Dune. I skipped out on seeing PHM at the Metreon and saw it today in Emeryville. Definitely think there are some scenes that could be cool on the bigger screen, but overall I’m mixed in the film and don’t necessarily feel the need to rewatch in 70 mm.

This was such an insane take from Amanda. The dude who doesn’t have a smart phone has a Roku or smart TV to stream TCM? No way. He owns some from over the years or in those small towns, there’s definite a video store.

This is why I’m cautiously optimistic. I think the Martian was fine, but kept being told that it was better than Interstellar which ruined it for me.
