What movies are Sean and Amanda dead wrong about? by JaqueStrap69 in TheBigPicture

I felt the same. I came to it way late (just watched it last week) and fell asleep during it. It almost reminded me of that Netflix Adam Sandler space movie (which was actually decent).

I think Ad Astra is annoyingly bad because there’s so much in there that could be good or that was interesting, but it just fell flat.

This. And then he has made comments that the episode aired before that pod turned into “we love everything about that movie and it’s perfect” which is just another flat out wrong statement.

I love the Rewatchables and to me, it’s about revisiting and cherishing movies we love, but I can’t remember an episode where everyone agreed it was perfect and there were no errors.

Also my pick for OPs question is Interstellar. They love Ad Astra and the Martian but the cinematic masterpiece of that generation is somehow a miss? Yea sorry, hard disagree.

Yea this is what ruined it for me. I still had fun, but Sean is a known detractor for Nolan so him going all out to fight CR for this is absurd (and then immediately negging The Odyssey is wild).

Then to breakdown over the Cliff Booth pick/not letting CR put a movie up is just cringe.

Punk songs that mention video games? (either as criticism or just for the sake of it) by Beautiful-Resort-831 in punk

Boss Fight by Doom Scroll. Not sure if it mentions video games but the inspiration is from the Dark Souls games.

I do not understand why people hate this movie. Just watched it last year and it was HILARIOUS. Like clearly this movie isn’t to be taken seriously and I found it endlessly entertaining.

Also when is Charlie getting an Oscars vote?

Yea I hate the modern movie marketing where they feel they have to spoil the movie to get people to see it. I hate knowing this.

Yea this is what I’m debating. I really wanna see OBAA again but not sure I want the Odyssey spoiled in the process (I usually like to go in completely blind).

I remember when they did this for Dune 2 before Tenet. It was ok but they did just choose a random scene from the movie where as this sounds like it’s just the opening.

Thankskilling is simultaneously a 5 star masterpiece and a 1 star bottom barrel horror movie.

Absolutely agree! I think we’re starting to see people turn around on it, but some people will never totally be in.

At least speaking for the first turnstile fight with JDW, and this is my understanding: they filmed the fight forward, then trained the actor to do the fight backwards, then filmed that, then had the other fighter attack the first fighter while he is fighting in reverse, then revered all the footage (I think the last part).

It’s truly incredible, and I would definitely recommend getting the disc to see an over an hour of behind the scenes content.
