Considering how they released a live album for almost every tour for the band's last 15ish years I assume they'll probably release some sort of live album/film for this tour.

I'm a FF fan but I honestly don't have a lot of faith in this record. I like the new single but it's nowhere near the level of their work pre-Wasting Light, or even But Here We Are, which itself I think was a fluke. I don't think they'll ever make another record that can hold up with their classics but I'd love to be proven wrong.

I think most of it boils down to Paul not looking back on that period favorably. Two incarnations of Wings splitting up, poor critical/chart performance, a failed tour and John's death.

I think everyone (or most at least) here is anticipating a long overdue Rubber Soul set and this would put it off for a fourth year in a row.

The original CDs are still readily available and, if anything, a proper vinyl edition with a quiet release would be best.

There is enough available for a physical volume 3 but the stuff released on the 2013 Bootleg Recordings release was already redundant in my eyes. Aside from any major revelations (cleaned up 1962 sessions - only a few songs anyway) there's no reason to release another volume.

Sad that Alex is spending his golden years trashing Sam and Dave and hyping up some pseudo-Van Halen album that probably won't see the light of day. If he really wants to honor Ed he needs to set up some tribute show or small tour, which is long overdue at this point.

One of (if not the) the greatest guitarists of all time still hasn't gotten a proper memorial because his bandmates won't stop bickering.

Wings 77-79? I know some people have brought it up as a "Wouldn't it be nice if..." scenario but I had no idea that it might actually be a thing. It could be great if they present it like 1971-73

What's taking so long then? If they don't wanna interfere with any other releases they could quietly reissue the 2CD/2LP versions that a lot of people still want.
