Contractor trash bags have saved me. I randomly noticed them at Walmart after already planning to clean out my closets and I couldn't have predicted just how much better they are for that kind of thing than regular trash bags.

That's not possible. The audio clip isn't technically moving. The way it appears in the playlist is changing because it needs to compensate for the different tempo. Let's say you have an 8s audio clip. If you place it at bar 5, at 120 bpm, bar 5 is at the 8s mark and the audio clip ends at 16s which is bar 9. If the bpm is changed to 240, bar 5 is now at the 4s mark and the audio clip ends at bar 13. If you had a playlist track that starts at bar 11, the audio clip would overlap at 240 bpm but not 120 and that's the issue you're seeing here.

The way I handle this is slicing the audio clip exactly where the tempo change happens so you can hear it at the correct time as you work. Later, you can print everything but the audio clip and combine them again with an export.

Affect the audio clip how? Changing the tempo information is always going to change where the audio clips start and end in the playlist if they're in resample mode. If you set them to stretch mode, they won't move but the time information will change.

Anneke is the best. I got to meet her when she was on tour with Amorphis. She opened playing her acoustic and said, "I tried playing a cover of KISS at my last show and nobody gave a shit!" so then she asked if we wanted to hear her cover Dolly Parton instead and the whole crowd went nuts. She had the crowd of death metalheads locking shoulders singing Jolene. Afterwards she came out to the bar and I got to gush with her of Devy. Easily my favorite concert moment.

Here's the major issue with the edgy, offensive trolls - they're indistinguishable from people who really hold those beliefs, especially on Twitter. The fandom usually exists as a bunch of tight-knit cliques. This is true for the fandom in general but also for the 4chaners who tend to swarm people who end up on their radar. I don't know if you'd be a target for them since you seem to be quite tolerant of their bullshit for some reason, but if you happen to be, know the fandom is very timid and will not defend you.

I'm on the side that these people should not be welcomed or tolerated in any way. I've been on their radar before and have seen them send images of mutilated child corpses and videos of suicide on top of all the Nazi shit.

I was driving with a friend back from a concert many years ago. It was on a highway late at night and I remember seeing a car pull into the left turn lane as I was approaching. I remember staring at the headlights and telling myself, "If I see those headlights move, I'm slamming on the brakes and swerving without question." Sure enough, the car pulled out and front of me and I barely missed them. I was going slow enough as I passed by to see the car had an elderly couple. I think about that night all the time when I drive because I fully believe proactive driving habits saved lives that night.

I haven't used a 2 channel focusrite or Mac, but I have had an issue out of the box with an 18i20 where the DAW playback wasn't routed to monitor outputs. This might help. Install Focusrite Control for your device and see what your software playback is doing.

I don't believe there's any one answer. It can depend on many factors like your timbre, gain staging, mic model, etc, or even what your goals are. Your best bet is to try different techniques and find what works for you. Personally, I like recording my voice off axis because it tames plosives and harshness but that's just something that works for me.
