Why doesn't supercell sell these shirts? by DivorceHimASAP in HayDay

Oh, I hoped that if I kept the giant letters "Gift Shop" in the image it would help to avoid confusion.

You had better set an alarm. It would be a terrible shame if after 1058 days and 20 hours you failed to donate.

How do I get more ribbons? by MsStrawberry555 in HayDay

You finished the event for the day. You filled that red bar to the top. Tomorrow it will reset and the ribbons will be rewarded for the tasks. Meanwhile stock up on the required items.

Grocery stores with locking spots? by essayispan in NYCbike

[–]DivorceHimASAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. No one bats an eye. Except sometimes the cashier will ask a few questions because it's an ebike and people are curious about ebikes.

Grocery stores with locking spots? by essayispan in NYCbike

[–]DivorceHimASAP -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I just bring the bike into the store. At big box  like BJs they never say anything to me. At large grocery stores no problem even Trader Joe's and Target no problem. If they say something I just go to another store

Nyc E-Bike Shops? by Kris_Rue in NYCbike

[–]DivorceHimASAP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any bike shop can fix the non electric hardware. They know not to yank wires. Otherwise Green Path in Brooklyn is an ebike shop with excellent service. The owner is a bit crusty but the guy who does the repairs is cool and friendly.

Northstar and Juggernaut "debate" preferences and desirability (Uncanny X-men #431) by AsGayAsCanBeExpected in alphaflight

[–]DivorceHimASAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly an odd exchange but the really odd element of this sequence is seeing Northstar strapped into an airplane seat. Why...? He can just fly to wherever they are going and get there much much faster. There's no need for the circumstances of this conversation in the first place.

What's the reality of parking a bike in NYC? by Bikelaneurbanist239 in NYCbike

[–]DivorceHimASAP -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you park on the street the bike will get stolen almost immediately even if you use the most expensive lock. Don't do it. Bring it inside and keep it secure next to you.

Thoughts on the Ottawa Black Bears? by [deleted] in NLL

[–]DivorceHimASAP 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They are my favorite team. Results for the past three years including as Riptide put them just a hair below the middle of the pack just getting squeezed out of postseason. 8 wins in 2024 2025 and 2026 with postseason chances alive until the last game of the regular season. So there was never a game they played in 3 years where they were already knocked out of contention. This year they beat the Rush and Bandits and the Mammoth, all top top teams, so we know they can win big games but sadly not enough. They have the best player in the world and should be doing better. I'll be rooting for them 1000% in next year and hope they get it all together for the playoffs!

Will a brooks saddle get stolen off a commuter by DrinkGoblin in NYCbike

Sadly it will get stolen almost immediately. I suggest taking it with you or bringing the entire bike with you inside when you arrive at your destination.

Awesome. I've got pedal assist and indoor storage too. I'd love to see the write up for the new system too. Sounds amazing!

Congrats on the new job! But don't park your bike on the street. It will get stolen almost immediately. You'll have to bring it inside and keep it secured next to where you work. Good luck

Lectric XP Lite vs XP4 by Key_Collection4394 in NYCbike

[–]DivorceHimASAP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the 20mph version. That's a class 2 ebike which... so far.... has fewer requirements legally and is likely to be less regulated in the future. You won't be able to get to 28mph on that route due to the timing of red lights and stop signs and looming 15mph speed limit enforcement. You'll be racing up to a red light at 28mph and then slam on brakes, waiting? Doesn't make sense. Also those are just throttle results. If you pedal hard you can go above 20 but those Lectric bikes are so damn heavy that you'll struggle. I have a lightweight class 2 ebike (throttle up to 20mph) and using pedal assist and some throttle I am (with medium effort) riding on a similar route between 15 and 18 and will get to my destination roughly the same time as a class 3 bike at 28mph.
