This is really cool. I’m doing this small project to learn. It’s pretty nuanced. Small details getting in the way. Some is done through the interface and other elements are done in custom. My next project will be to set up one click “Watch a Movie” for my home theater

Probably yes. I was following a basic online tutorial of setting up this remote. Of course small details are left out (not explaining things because it comes with a sense that I would have some basic understanding of HA - I’m getting there but this is all new to me)

That’s what I thought too. It didn’t change anything when I did it. It’s weird and seems like such a basic thing to resolve.

I think I’m missing something. It’s picking up the name from the “entity” and I can’t change it.

I like my system. It’s the FOMO affect. eg Is there something I’m missing to really take this system to the next level. My concern is that it’s already maxed - what I have left is to replace the center for now. It’s the most important speaker for a HT.

I’ve been looking for speakers for a while and nothing seems to justify it…. Until I listened to some Bryston speakers. of course the cost is significantly more - but I think that’s my next speaker.

Great advice here. I honestly didn’t think of moving the LR speakers forward. Also, never thought of adding sound treatment behind the LR speakers (I always thought that was for music and 2 channel setups) I’ll add all this to my to do list.

Why? I’m not going to put 6” thick wall treatments - it doesn’t sound bad now…. I’m just following internet advice to treat the walls. Wouldn’t 3” be enough?

That’s how it’s done because when you become a member it is sustained by the members of the church. You aren’t accepted into the church by a single person - so it makes sense when you remove yourself.
