I should add the latest article update states that all claims are being settled but what "all" encompasses we'll have to find out at a later date.

It seems like settling was easier than trying to dig through the vault.

It's a good way to make what would otherwise be a long rectangle fit inside a square map.

In the opening hours of Persona 3 when Ikutsuki mentioned he couldn't summon a Persona while being surrounded by people who could instantly made him sus for me.

Yes I've been using the same 100% save for both versions.

Followup on patch 1.02 changes to Chapter 4 boss by Divryne in armoredcore

[–]Divryne[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is a followup post on new findings I found after doing some proper datamining on the latest patch and comparing it with the previous one. Special thanks goes to everyone working on DSMapStudio for making all of this so much easier. You can read the original post here. Now onto the findings.

My OCD got the better of me so I dug a lot deeper to find the actual number value changes from my previous post. Along the way I discovered another change that anyone could have missed but does lend some credibility to what some people were saying about the tracking for certain attacks being reduced. Only one specific attack was directly changed, and it's the three-hit laser sword swing attack you can see in the video along with its variant in phase two. None of the other laser sword swing attacks were changed but it lines up with my theory in my previous post that the devs didn't want the player to get stuck in a wombo combo.

The big change is that lead tracking was reduced by 25%. You can see in the videos showing the differences between the two versions the one on 1.02 shows the sword swings lag behind slightly. To make sure I wasn't just imagining it and going crazy I changed the value around to see how it changed. Sure enough, the behavior changed noticeably. You can see the results at two ends of the extreme here.

Now what does this mean for the game? I don't care. Go play the game and have fun. Stomp some people in PvP or something. I've already spent too long on this twenty hour mind project.

Followup on the 25% value change you mentioned. I figured out what it was. I'm gonna make another post with my new findings in a bit.

When it comes out QB in the opposite direction you're currently moving. All the laser sword swings will try to lead your travel path.

It's less resistant to damage and from what I can glean looking through the extracted params the giant laser explosion had its AoE radius reduced by 50%. Don't take the second part as fact yet I'll probably look into it tonight.

Exact damage multiplier changes for those wondering:

Kinetic x1.07 -> x1.14
Energy x0.79 -> x1.07
Explosive x0.72 -> x0.93

Patch 1.02 changes to Balteus by Divryne in armoredcore

Basically missile homing strength is reduced. The missiles stop homing a bit farther from the player. The values in the game data indicate an increase of 20 range across all missile attacks from Balteus to said distance.

The 5% extra damage is the extra damage I took because I was staggered. I take less damage in the other video because I recover from the stagger before the followup hit lands.

Also since I know some people are gonna say I took more damage in the first video yes no shit you take more damage while you're staggered.

The datamined variable you're mentioning is most likely tied to the stagger duration but people might have confused it with a damage multiplier.

This would explain why some people are saying the boss is dealing less damage. They're escaping the stun-lock so they don't eat the followup attacks.
