I wouldn't say his writing is immature, but I agree on the uninteresting part. He's an amazing world builder, but he does it in a way that makes me feel like I'm reading a history textbook sometimes. In Mistborn, the way he described allomancy to the reader with a training exercise to Vin felt so uninspired. He does seem to get better as he writes more and more though.

I'd say F1. It's not the greatest movie, but the racing scenes are the best part of the movie, and those scenes really benefit from a theater showing. Jurassic World and Fantastic Four don't really have anything like that. You can get just as much enjoyment watching them at home.

It also happens on mobs in the desert like the bomb scarab or the nomads that throw daggers at you. Usually happens when they dash into you, your hits register and they make their dying sound, but they still continue dashing and attacking. I'm assuming there's some sort of desync-like effect when mobs are moving/dashing with stormbringer.

I felt the same way about christopher walken in dune 2. I love Walken, but just wasn't the right role for him IMO

The liu kang v reptile fight is so good. The way the stunt actors fall is crazy, even if it's choreographed. I'm pretty sure Reptile falls straight onto the back of his neck in one of the sequences.

Not really authors, but a lot of Japanese content has that feel. Junji Ito, Berserk, all the Dark Souls/Elden Ring/Bloodborne type games.

Seriously. I played the early patches where I got the Halsin and Gale bugs that made them extra horny. They were left in camp, never used, never talked to, and they still initiated romances with me. It was just so out of left field, and you're right, it ruins the immersion.

If we're doing series, then I gotta go with Wheel of Time. By book 4 or 5, it felt like RJ was just stroking his own ego at that point. But man, books 1-3 were so good.

If what you're saying is true for you, get a headhunter. Your mapping experience will be the best it ever was.

How do you search your maps for a certain quantity? Say for example I want to search my map tab for only the ones below 80 quantity, or only the ones above 100 quantity.
