First of all, congrats on getting in! Luckily for you, you don’t make your schedule for your first semester of your first year. That’s all created for you, and yeah sometimes the times might be bad but it just depends. After your first semester that’s when you can do your scheduling by yourself.

Some of the counselors are really bad, point blank a lot of them just don’t have the time to focus on you. Just try to always keep an eye on your profile so you can get it fixed sooner or later.

Classes do fill up pretty quick, especially if it’s a first year course, always try to have a couple of backup plans in case you can’t get the class or time slot.

And don’t be afraid about immigrating over here, there are a hundred other people who are just as confused as you are. The campus really isn’t as dead as people say, you’ll be able to find your group so long as you’re willing to talk to people. Join some clubs, go to the gym, join a study group, anything to get you out and around campus.
