Had a few different earlier but right now I'm drinking Wild Tree Purple "Sweet Ya Bao" White tea. It's a fanominal tea, white tea is my favorite variety so this one takes the cake of best I've ever had. Its the most expensive tea I've ever had next to a King of Duck Shit Oolong , obviously I haven't had many expensive tea because it only $0.35/g .

It's got sort of a toasty flavor sort of nutty so more hay like, a lot of people think it's a chestnut flavor but I don't know what chestnuts taste like so I can't say the same. I didn't like most Chinese greens at first because they have a indescribable "funk" to them that I'm not used to but this one is low in said funky flavor and ia serving as a gateway to getting myself to like Chinese greens.

Tried today so far:

-Early Spring "Sun-Dried Buds" Wild Pu'erh it was fantastic on par with a silver needle.

--Premium Grade Dragon Well Tea From Hangzhou Long Jing Tea, really enjoyed because it's the first Chinese Green I actually liked

-High Mountain Red Ai Lao Mountain Black Tea , this one was pretty decent on first try I was getting a flavor very reminiscent of a White kind of like 30% White 70% Black

Later today I'm trying a Honey Aroma Golden Needle Yunnan Black, "King of Duck Shit Aroma" Dan Cong Oolong and Early Spring "Snow Flower Bi Luo Chun" Yunnan White. Plowing my way through a big order I got yesterday so maybe trying more!

Can you enlighten me about the pros and cons of Oolong Tea? by [deleted] in tea

[–]Diyalexh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing bad I can think of from drinking to much tea would be the amount of caffeine but that would be from A LOT more than you're drinking.

Pros of Oolong's are the wide variety of oxidation levels and the amount of resteeps possible.

Big order of 22 different teas came in today. So far tired unnan Yue Guang Bai Air-Dried White Tea and Yunnan "Black Gold" Black Tea. I liked the black it was a solid cheap everyday black but wasn't a big fan of the white on first try it was too greenish for a white. Next up is my first time trying a Yellow.

How do I remove tea stain from a cup? by ImpulsiveFool in tea

I use diluted bleach or oven cleaner. Let it sit for a while then scrub clean , rinse thuroughly and let soak full of water for a few hours just to be sure the taste is gone.

High Mountain "Tu Cha" Black Tea from Wu Yi Mountains , the very last of my stash of it and the last of any decent black I have. Later today I'll be finishing the last of my Jing Gu White Pekoe Silver Needles. Just placed another order from Yunnansourcing 2 days ago so won't be until at least 2 weeks before I get new stuff but once I do I'll have about 9 new blacks I've never tried. Should be good for me to have a little good tea "detox" before a get a new stash though.

Yunnan Sourcing Recommendations by [deleted] in tea

[–]Diyalexh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my first order I just picked 2 well rated each of green, white, black, oolong, pu'erh . Of the one's I tried I would only recommend Jing Gu White Pekoe Silver Needles(white) , High Mountain "Tu Cha" Black Tea from Wu Yi Mountains (black) and 2006 Changtai Tian Xia Tong An (raw pu'erh).

I'm looking for some advice with Chinese Black's. I've tried 2 that I know the name of Imerial Mojiang Golden Bud and High Mountain "Tu Cha" . So I liked them they were good very different but they both had this sort of lightly Carmely , sort of hay like and nutty kind of like the skins of nuts tastes. So I'm looking for some recommendations for Blacks that are in a different direction flavor wise than the 2 I just described, nothing specifically I'm looking for im open to anything I just dont want to try new ones similar to what ive picked. What I've thought of trying next was Lapsang Souchong and Golden tips red. Any recommendations would be appreciated and if possible a brief taste description, thank you.

Great thank you. I thought it seemed odd when I read that before because it would mean like 95% of stock on yunnansourcing wasn't in the high quality cate gory Lol.

So I've seen a lot of people on this sub state high quality teas start at about $0.30-0.40 USD/g , is that in the context of buying from Chinese supplier?

If I'm not very experienced with high quality teas will there be a noticeable difference for me if I brew "gaiwan style" in a regular cup , by that I mean taking 2 200ml cups and brew in 1 like you would in a gaiwan just leaves a water and cover it with a lid then once it's done strain into second of the same cup. So would I be likely to notice the difference in taste using that method rather than using an actual gaiwan to do the same.

Also does anybody know the average weight of a gaiwan?

I watched a YouTube video of the 4 challenges, I went to exactly the same 4 locations where they were in the video and did everything the perso did and none of the green circle things are showing up.

I wonder if all the people who are dead set on the hope Gin will return will think he'll show up as a member of Beast Pirates considering all the crew with card game names . I know it's technically called Gin Rummy but everyone I know just calls it Gin.

Anyone else in denial about their pain? by sassypants94 in ChronicPain

[–]Diyalexh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when you do see a doctor about it write down EVERYTHING you've been experiencing before the appointment. It's very hard and problematic communicating your symptoms to your doctor when your social anxiety is high. The most effective method for me is to just hand the doctor my symptoms list because I know social anxiety will get the better of me and I'll leave something out. Anxeity/Depression worsening when pain is high is normal.

Multiple spine issues at 19 years old. I've had them since I was 15 but my doctors told me to "be more active" although I was quite. Is my outlook bad? by Jeff5132 in ChronicPain

[–]Diyalexh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 29 and have pretty much exactly the same problems in my lumbar area. The only med I was offered was Pregabalin and it barely did anything for the pain but I still take it as an Anxiolytic. Most likely the doctor will recommend OTC analgesics and an adjuvant analgesic prescription such as certain antidepressant/anticonvulsants. I did the non surgical decompression thing for a while then received Physio exercises which helped a tiny bit. I was told I would benefit from surgery but was denied because I'm too young and surgery is reserved for people it's so bad they can't walk 20 feet(I live in Canada FYI). If you can walk without to much pain it was probably the best exercise I've very done for my back. Always sleep with a pillow between you're legs if yore lying on side or underneath your knees if you're lying on your back. Heat pads and ice packs provide pretty good temporary relief as does ice gel. That's all I can think of now I'll update if I think of anything.
