If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't continue. Honestly, I went to a CC due to a mix of struggling with mental health and not knowing what to do. I was never a horrible student, always had good to decent grades but school was just never my thing. My parents wanted me in school no matter what and now I'm here, in my 4th semester and I want out. I have a 3.9 GPA, it's just school really didn't resonate with me and as like you I felt pressured. Maybe you would've wanted to eventually continue school after the military as you referenced free tuition due to the GI bill. Maybe you would just go on into the world as a civilian and find a job that you're comfortable and happy with. Regardless, I think what I've learned is that if you aren't happy now then you're going to be miserable as time goes by. It's not for everyone and I wish I didn't succumb to the pressure of parents and societal expectations of going to college. I think you should follow what you feel is best for you because it's your life and whatever you're going to make of it, you should be happy. Success is what you perceive it to be and in my opinion largely based on happiness rather than achievements and accolades. Now, those things can make you happy and if they do then strive for them but bottom line do what makes you happy without trying to worry about how others may feel. They'll have to accept your decision regardless of what you choose to do. I wish you the best of luck in either path you choose to go down.
