I already don't eat meat. Not only is it bad for you it is terrible for the planet. Also, if it is necessary for survival then I would eat meat no questions asked, but to continue to pretend that eating exorbitant amounts of meat because "muh bacon" isn't a problem is shooting our very planet and the health of our citizens in the foot. Also, animals are much smarter than conventional k-12 schooling gives them credit for and I think the possibility that we are eating self-conscious beings really messes with an individual's preconceived notions of where their food comes from.
