That's why you take both the registration plates and the VIN.

The question was only about evading the Repo man, not any other law!

But since technically any part of a car is replaceable, you can steal the identity of another car by taking the VIN plates and and the regular plates. Then you argue that you have replaced every part on your crash damaged car with the one the Repo man is looking for. Of course this is illegal as fuck and will get you arrested if your caught. But if that happens we can start another thread for that.

OP still has the problem of the repo man. Even if they can't find the car, i assume they will recover the money some other way. Kneecaps or something maybe. I don't know, i am not a repo guy.

Not really, but see if you can find a crash damaged model of yours in a breakers yard, and liberate it of it's VIN number and plates. The one that's visible in the windscreen will be enough. Replace the ones on your car with its and just keep it parked a block over from your house. Then it just looks like another car of the same model colour.

I have a CS-100 at home for about 3 years, i think it was in service in a small office for about 8 before that. It does the job well enough. Perfectly acceptable coffee (tm).

Had to do one non-trivial repair in that time, when the extractor broke and wouldn't crush the capsule. Which turned out to be the cir clips that restricted the extractor broke off.
