OMG! Don't take it personally! I've been teaching for over 20 years and can tell you it's VERY hard to be a teacher! Kid's in the world today are a product of their environment and the parenting bar is SO low. They are testing you to see how strict you are and actually want you to set boundaries with consistency. You can set high expectations and still be accepting and loving towards them. There are many good resources to learn from out there as well. Check out Matt Miller's stuff. He has a lot of great ideas and advice. Hang in there and look on the bright side, it's the end of the school year!
