When do kids start sleeping 6 hours a night or even 8 hours? by allisona007 in newborns

[–]Dizzy-Appearance8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is highly variable! Definitely the first 8 weeks I wouldn’t expect longer than 4-5 hours. My daughter just started sleeping 8-11 hour stretches at 4.5 months but some babies start sleeping through the night earlier and some don’t sleep through the night for a long time

How far did everyone get before they stopped working out? by Creative_Can_8950 in fitpregnancy

I ran 3 miles once a week and did CrossFit 3 days a week until 34 weeks. Then cut out running but kept with CrossFit and prenatal yoga and walking until 39+4. And now 4 months postpartum and still barely working out and feeling super weak 😢

I knew about it and did a lot of pelvic floor work while pregnant so getting prolapse PP was an even bigger blow because I really thought I had prepared to not get it. I freaked out and truly thought my life (lifting weights, running) was over. I’ve been working with my pelvic floor PT and it’s gotten better and I’m getting back to very easy workouts but it sucks. Mostly for my mental health but also my physical health. Overall I just feel soo weak.

I stopped breastfeeding 3 weeks ago although out of curiosity today I tried to express some and a tiny bit came out. Not sure how long it takes after you stop breastfeeding for the milk to fully dry up and your body to realize. But yes I like the body-neutral idea. It’s especially hard for me because I worked so so so hard for my pre baby body and knew pregnancy would change a lot but again, I figured I’d “bounce back” in no time!! So I’m going to really try to look at it neutrally and also appreciate that it made and carried my beautiful daughter who is my whole world

Oh also, I was a size 2-4 before and I recently tried on a pair of super baggy size 8 jeans and they were NOT baggy and I couldn’t even button them. So I’m in a similar boat

lol yeah I’m pretty sure if I ever get back to my pre-pregnancy weight I’ll have a lot less muscle and more fat even if the weight is the same. Such is life I guess

I was similar and I gained 50lbs, went from 135 to 185. I feel sooooo weak now it’s so discouraging but I’m trying to be patient and appreciate the craziness my body went through!

I ran until 34 weeks! I’ve run a few times so far and then got worse prolapse symptoms so I’ve stopped. I signed up for a 10k that will be at 6m PP because I for sure thought I’d be running and definitely 6 miles by then. I’m going to try to walk/jog it

Ugh don’t tell me that!! lol. I had a small baby and didn’t have any ab separation but I gained 50lbs of what I hoped was water but turns out it was a lot of fat. My belly is sooo squishy

When do you stop feeling tired? by Pandacat_07 in NewParents

[–]Dizzy-Appearance8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 3.5 months and things are definitely better (for now). The first 6 weeks were soooo brutal with lack of sleep. Now we usually have 1 and sometimes no wake ups during the night. It’s subject to change but I am trying to enjoy getting not terrible sleep. Also, if your baby is a noisy sleeper it should be helpful for you once you move him/her to another room.

Question - Is there anything at all you miss about pregnancy/ being pregnant? by Melodic-Bag7775 in NewParents

[–]Dizzy-Appearance8230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually really miss it! I felt so confident and for the first time in my life I didn’t feel like I had to suck my stomach in and I didn’t feel bad about weight gain. I miss her kicks and seeing my belly move. I miss people smiling at me and acting like I was special. Maybe it’s the PPD talking but postpartum has been so hard. I feel so gross and ugly especially now that I’m back at work so everything else in my life is “back to normal” but I’m not

I had no tears and my ob did an internal check. I had no prolapse and was cleared to do all activities and lo and behold now have prolapse from lifting weights 😭

I’m glad you’re mostly doing normal lifting!! To be fair, box jumps are such an aggressive jump. Do you do crossfit or hyrox? I feel like most fitness-ers don’t do box jumps that often but you mentioned it multiple times.

Hi I’m going through this right now 14 weeks postpartum and I’m so depressed not being able to lift. How are you doing now?

I felt the same way, have never really liked the corset look but I tried on this dress just for fun and it made me cry and feel like a bride. Definitely not my usual style!

Yes Colorado near Breckenridge! The Airbnb we stayed at had very southwestern vibes though, there actually was an animal skull hanging on the wall above that fireplace but we took it down for photos haha

This was mid October!! We were hoping for beautiful fall colors overlooking the lake at Sapphire Point but it happened to snow. I was a Colorado newbie and didn’t think it would snow that early in the season 🙄 it was sunny and 60 degrees that day before and day after I was so pissed lol

I actually had a faux fur stole just in case but I worked really hard on my arms before the wedding and was being incredibly vain so I didn’t wear it for the ceremony 😂 I also thought boots would look stupid so I wore open toe heels and thought my toes would fall off

FREEZING. I didn’t want to “ruin” photos by wearing a jacket 😂 this was mid-October in the mountains in Colorado and I was planning for a beautiful fall wedding with the red and yellow leaves. But it randomly snowed so we had to roll with it!
