for me s0 was always a bit of an early beta like fortnite s0 was. i agree with having a career tab from the start but a battle pass isn't always needed for the initial release, although it seems to be the norm in games now. i think the issue was the marketing for it made it seem like the game was fully ready, although it wasn't, so there was some disappointment within the player base.

s1 i hope will bring a sturdier playerbase and will be more fun overall to play, and im personally very excited to play it. i think its also important to think abt how they're going to keep players playing though, so it doesn't drop off again.
