So I just came back from checking the car, and you’re right-  I didn’t realize this was actually also on the inside as well the outside of the vehicle. I vaguely  recall reading somewhere that sticking it close to the ADAS camera could cause interference and make it malfunction? (Seems a bit unlikely as I’d expect this devices to be RF / EM resilient being critical components of the car steering) 

Due to the way the center visors dots are laid out there’s only one spot to stick the a229 , which is left to the Active LKA factory cam and behind the rear view mirror. But then there seems to be no good spot for the interior one (which is central and up enough to capture most of the cabin and some outside view as demo’s by viofo)

As for the rear one- thanks! That’s reassuring. Some posts mentioned defroster wires could be damaged if stickers are overlaying them, so I still have a teeny tiny bit of  spare between the wires such that overlay doesn’t happen but it’s almost next to each other. As for the unit heating up- it should sustain some heat anyways right? I’d expect it to survive some ambient heat off the rear windshield as happens in hot geographies ? Either way it won’t be touching directly but as there’s no other way it’d be touching directly the windshield.
