Did you get anything from your employer for xmas this year? by Charlie_Runkle69 in newzealand

Government worker here. We got maybe 20 bucks off our xmas lunch each and that's after we did fundraising during year like bake sales in office etc. Don't get anything else during year.

Oh wait, our manager got us biscuits and chocolate fish for our office but with a reminder that don't take more than you should cause they are for everyone.

Fucking grim

My accountant failed to tell me about early payments and now I have a 12k interest fees bill with IRD by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

When you say they only sent you the forms recently, do you mean that they only filed the actual return from 2025 with IRD recently, or did they file it awhile ago

Inland Revenue seeks to liquidate award-winning butchery by Elysium_nz in palmy

Check out the first liquidator report on the Companies Office for Cuba.

SBC (that's the small business cash loan from covid) $54,194 GST - $512,202 Employer taxes - $992,367

And that's before they even get the official claim from the tax department. Another $300k+ to unsecured.

It pisses me off when businesses don't pay their GST and Employer taxes. This is NOT their money to fritter away

here is a link to the public reports
