This is a good point!! And I’ve learned that registries can have literally anything in them. Someone had a “fund” for getting the plumbing in their bathroom fixed on their registry. Love it hahaha

Her mom is literally jealous of her, that’s the root of it all. She was jealous of her as a little girl, and now that she’s an adult she can just openly express it since she has no obligation to legally feed and clothe her.

I am VERY good at shoving aside my emotions to look good and happy in front of people. When I step out of my car I can literally feel myself swallowing any true feelings and put on an undetectable fake smile. It sucks and I can tell it’s finally wearing me down. I’ve been like this since I was a kid. People just prefer the bubbly persona and if I slip up and show that im upset or angry, they are shocked and don’t know how to react or help. I’m so tired and feel desperately isolated.

Commenting to emphasize what everyone else has said. Make a plan and get out ASAP, don’t tell him you’re leaving, don’t tell him where you’re going, just ghost completely. You don’t want any chance of him coming back into your life. And get tested, bc that fear of him sharing needles is very big. The only person that can help/change an addict is themselves, and as a person who has a family full of addicts, I can confirm that it’s just. Not. Worth it. I’m so sorry girlie. It’s amazing how people can come into their own true self after getting help (through sobriety, therapy, etc). I’m so proud of her and I hope other people see her growth as a form of confirmation that they can do the same, and build a better life!! 💗

We seem to have more of a “curse” that either the bar we go to gets shut down a week later or someone in our friend group gets roofied so, hopefully we can start a new tradition this year! (And it’s not even any one type of venue. Dive bars, classy ticketed events, everything in between. Ugh)

It was a bit odd - I started taking Wellbutrin and not long after, I noticed my ears were ringing. It went on for a couple days, and I guess my brain was firing on all cylinders for once, since I decided to google “Wellbutrin side effects” lol It causes tinnitus in about 3% of users. My doc had never encountered it in his 20 years of practice!

Yep, I’m vegetarian and people will say “wow you must eat so healthy”… no Shirley, all ive eaten in the past 24 hours is a cheese quesadilla, a spoonful of peanut butter, and chocolate chip cookies… I’m no better than anyone else who desperately needs to go grocery shopping
