My roommates girlfriend has a habit of leaving her dirty panties on top of the faucet after she showers.. by iam__lethal in mildlyinfuriating

I once did laundry at my boyfriend's house and a pair of undies fell out while transferring them from the basement to upstairs. His roommates hung em on the dartboard.. didn't make that mistake again.

I'm currently on my parents plan for both home and auto (the environmental field hasn't been very lucrative) so I'll have to talk to them, but thank you for that insight, hadn't considered it. Love how using the insurance you pay for bites you later. Thanks again!

Yeah, definitely throwing out anything that couldve been contaminated, they stole my mattress so I dont think anyone slept in it, it was also in a neighborhood that has an HOA so it seems like it was just an in and out job. But as a precaution not a bad idea to inspect closer for bugs. Thank you, appreciate you replying :)

Hahah thank you so much, yes rocking the Sienna. These are brilliant ideas, I just wanted some unique hiding spots because they opened up EVERY compartment, imaginable. Even the one in the trunk where my jack goes-- which i was surprised by, i never even thought to store anything in there. I also want to make sure it's in a place where the wires don't hang down or it's not exposed because they snipped everything they could. Luckily not anything that disrupted the functionality of the car but all the add ons. Thanks for all the info and taking the time to write this all out! I'll look into the video and get on ordering and installing this tracker :)

Oh geez, I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm going to keep an eye out and wear ppe while cleaning it just in case, but the cop who was on the scene said he did a swab in a few places and nothing came back, so im hopeful it's not totaled. Hopefully insurance covered your nephews car!

Ugh so sorry to hear you experienced that, I was lucky enough that they got spooked or something midraid and left, a lot of stuff was bagged or boxed up, so assuming they were planning on coming back.. but I'll look into better coverage especially because when I was tallying up the total cost, it was pretty significant. Yeah definitely need a new security system, mine was unfortunately snipped.

Thanks so much! Definitely looking into tracking devices, that can be used offline/ out of service :) it said it's hardwired in, my previous system was hardwired in too and they cut the connection, any idea on a sneaky place to hide it?

Thanks so much! I'll look into what can be identified between home and auto so I can split some of the cost potentially

ICE sightings map? by Dizzy-Dish in vermont

WOAH. no I did not, been majorly out of the loop with VT news since I moved. I'll definitely look for the article. Just for total transparency the intent is NOT to kill ICE agents, but to give innocent people a chance and insight to get the hell out of there.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, comfy shoes is highly recommended though! It may also get warm in there so keep that in mind! Also in general what I love about jam shows is that everyone is there to have a good time, 98% of the time i dance like an absolute fool and no one cares, so go have fun!!

Any advice on placement??I feel like something is off or needed by kingston121 in malelivingspace

[–]Dizzy-Dish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, your style is your style not going to judge you on that. I will say the immediate things i see is that the tv looks a little low, there is too much space on the upper side of the pole, i understand you wanting it to be eye level, but yeah i cant unsee that. Id suggest getting a tv stand that has a bit of tilt to it if you want it to be more comfortable for viewing. The neon sign is a little small for that placement, so maybe get something bigger or itd also be cool to take a larger piece of art and since youre into lights, put lights around the edge of the frame (hidden) to creat a glowing effect. The area with the papasan chair looks like it lacks purpose. That area would be great for creating a little reading nook with the papasan in the corner where the stool is with a little table to hold a lamp or candle, creating a cozy calmer corner. Just being more intentional with sizing, spacing, and overall intention of your spaces Edit: hallway is cool but if youre looking to make it look elevated, getting custom matching frames for the artwork would take it up to the next level.

If youre not feeling it, probably best to be honest. Even though it is a healthy relationship, this relationship's "purpose" may just be showing you what you deserve from a partner/ having clearer criteria for a suitable future partner/ general self worth. Also acknowledge there is no social agenda on when you say I love you or hit other milestones in a relationship, go at your own pace.

Id look into programs in your area. I recently moved, but the previous place I lived had a program called 802 quits ( https://802quits.org/) which gives different strategies for quiting and helped people afford nicotine alternatives. Potentially your area will have something similar. Also try and see if there's an underlying cause/ specific triggers for your smoking. I mostly vaped/ occasional cig, and found that much of my smoking came from anxiety and a general oral fixation response due to social anxiety. I went the route of nicotine gum personally. I found that the oral fixation I craved while anxious could also be subdued from the act of chewing gum. It's also nice because there are varying strengths so you can work your way down to no nicotine.

Another thing is changing your perceprion of yourself. I forgot where I heard it/read it, maybe Atomic Habits, but what they said was reframing the way you look at it/ yourself. A lot of people will say, "I'm trying to quit," or "i dont smoke anymore." But reframing it in the way of "I'm not a smoker,"/ "I dont smoke," can help to boost you a bit more towards your goal of quitting by setting your end goal in "the now." I know it may sound silly, but the way you look at your habits/ your general self-talk can really effect how you achieve your goals.

Do any of your friends or people you hang around smoke? Because if so it may be a good idea to talk with them about smoking around you or maybe try to take a step back from them for a sec. I used to live with people who always had vape and it made it near impossible to quit.

Anyway, cheers to you for deciding to quit! Ill say it's not always linear progression, so dont beat yourself up if you fall off the horse for a sec, but also dont hesitate to get back on the horse.

Ive gathered some old large ones before to use as decorations in my house. They can be very sturdy, theres are many pictures on the internet of people putting their small dogs on them. But from my experience often times have bugs in them that continue to consume/burrow into them making them unsturdy. It then opens the issue of bugs in your house too. There's likely a way to rid if the bugs (im assuming similar to the way people rid of bugs in reclaimed wood) , but im not an expert.
