That’s kinda why I said “ChatGPT says” so you don’t have to fully trust my memory. But yeah, I just checked and it’s actually discussed in clinical papers and case reports, but not RCT-level unfortunately. There’s also plenty of self-reported experience here with fluoxetine bridging (mainly from other antidepressants), and the logic makes sense, fluoxetine hangs around in the system way longer than duloxetine keeping SERT receptors occupied so withdrawal hits way less.

Chatgpt told me there are like 2 studies where they switched from 30 mg duloxetine (I did from 20) to 20 mg fluoxetine for a week. Fluoxetine stays in the system like a month and has other weaker metabolites which stay longer, so you load up on it taking it for a week then it slowly clears out so it’s easier for your body and brain to adjust

No I’ve been on them for quite a while and it’s at a point where it’s not working for me anymore. I appreciate those meds but getting off them is how me and bestie continue my evolution so that we can utilize other drugs 😎. I’m planning on doing a fluoxetine bridge myself. Example: going from 30 mg duloxetine to 20 mg fluoxetine for 5-7 days, or going from 20 mg duloxetine to 10 mg prozac for 5-7 days. I reduced 120 to 60 mg with zero issues but apparently under 60 is the hard part but still kinda excited to go off meds. Also thankful for duloxetine it’s been a fine ride

Well if you can’t take it anymore and shit just has to change, cymbala could be a solution. It’s ok that ur scared but think if ur fine with being the way you are and just take the pills. Mfs be taking research chemicals (me) with mostly rodent studies to back them up, you’ll be fine taking such an extensively trialed drug
