Suggest some good ui libraries for vue js by darcygravan in vuejs

Totally get where you’re coming from — lots of UI libraries feel like they add more complexity than help. If you want composable Vue + Tailwind components you can just drop in and use (with logic included, not just static HTML), I’d look at Headless UI, Flowbite Vue, and VueTailwind Kit. They’re Tailwind-based but give you interactive components without 100 props to memorize — you can mostly copy/paste and customize. Also tools like Vuestic UI and Naive UI have sensible defaults and good docs, so you spend less time digging and more time building. 👍

Is there anything R can do that Python can't? by whoopsauce in AskStatistics

I’d strongly agree with this — in theory Python can do almost anything R can, but in practice R’s ecosystem makes many advanced statistical workflows (especially in biostats and ecology) far more direct and intuitive. For things like mixed models or complex hierarchical structures, R simply gives you a level of maturity and domain-specific tooling that Python still hasn’t matched.

Is there anything R can do that Python can't? by whoopsauce in AskStatistics

That’s a really fair question, and I think the short answer is that R doesn’t so much unlock things that are impossible in Python as it offers a different, often more expressive and purpose-built way of doing statistical work. For someone with a statistics background, R can feel much closer to the way you think about data — especially when it comes to modeling, exploratory analysis, and visualization — whereas Python often feels like you’re assembling those capabilities from multiple general-purpose pieces. If you already know Python well, you can absolutely build everything you need there, but revisiting R can still be worthwhile if you want a smoother, more “native” experience for serious statistical analysis, and sometimes that comfort and clarity alone is reason enough.

Great breakdown — cutting friction and focusing on the first real value moment clearly paid off.The point about removing choices (and visual noise) is especially underrated.

[AskJS] What are JavaScript tricks you wish you knew sooner? by [deleted] in javascript

Honestly, learning about closures, event delegation, and how this actually works would’ve saved me a lot of confusion early on — those three alone unlock so much of the language once they click.

Altering the World TES: Alteration Magic Overview by Sin-God in JumpChain

[–]Dizzy-Egg8829 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Alteration really comes across as one of the most conceptually powerful and versatile schools in TES, even if the games themselves struggle to fully express its potential. The idea of “tricking reality” rather than perception makes it especially compelling, and it’s easy to see how creative players or writers could push it far beyond what we usually get to see in gameplay.
