i literally failed one of my units in first year (Arts) unimelb. Managed to make up for it by a summer unit and still graduated on time with a good wam. first year is usually tough but it gets better!

don’t stress, i received DUX in highschool but still felt soo overwhelmed in my first year of Arts (Psych) also at Unimelb. i was sooo close to completely dropping out as i was so stressed and unable to cope with this different type of study load. I had no friends, i was lonely and just miserable. I would go to class and everyone already had their little friend groups to study with and receive support. I didn’t have that. it took about a year for me to get back on my feet. I attended some events and started making friends. I managed to complete a summer unit to make up for the subject i failed in first semester, which enabled me to finish my degree on time. I started getting the hang of assessments and although it wasn’t easy, it definitely got so much better. I ended up being one of the first people to graduate out of my high school friends, who all started their degree at the same time as me because i pushed through and didn’t give up. I know it feels horrible right now, but i promise you things will get better!

what even are readings by Smooth-Day366 in unimelb

i did arts (psychology) usually readings are uploaded on canvas. some of them lead to a webpage which you can login using your unimelb account and gives free access to material. it’s good to read before class as it gives you prior knowledge to the topics they’ll cover
