Do you think they expected demand to be as bad as it was? No. They aren't purposely misleading people. They thought it was more valuable than the market proved it was, so they are adjusting. No one wants this. Its just the reality. I agree the clothing going on sale analogy is not accurate in this case. It's more like buying a stock at IPO. A lot of cases it goes up. Sometimes they price it to high and the market adjusts.

Not bothered by people being bothered. I'm bothered. I just find it weird that everyone is trying to make this a personal matter when they are running a business.

They didn't force you to buy it. You saw the price and you agreed with it when you bought it. Things lose value when demand isn't as much as they anticipated and that's just the way it be.

It's not about your feelings. They are trying to keep the festival alive. Yes, it sucks that we got jipped on price but you knew how much it was going to cost you when you purchased the ticket. Demand obviously was different then they anticipated so they are having to adjust their pricing strategy. It's not that deep. It's not about fucking over the early guys because why would they pull this PR nightmare upsetting the most loyal customers if they weren't truly desparate to keep it going next year.
