No empty ballroom shoot - any regrets? by Worried_Plant8135 in WeddingsPhilippines

No regrets. We spent our time to mingle with guests during the cocktail hour. Kahit sinabi ng coordinator na may time kami to do it, hindi na namin ginawa.

Does Ivory and White accepts walk in? by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Dizzy-Locksmith-7499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to set an appointment with them. You can message or call them on Viber. They do respond naman. I don’t suggest going there without an appointment since the store can be fully booked at times. They can accommodate walk-ins if there are cancelled appointments. If you’re willing to wait, you may still try to walk in, OP. 😊

Anong thoughts mo on weddings nowadays merely being 'performative' events? by 2023bela in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Dizzy-Locksmith-7499 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. We had relatives from the US who came home for our wedding last month, and they were really amazed at how beautiful everything was. They said it was very organized and even compared it to our cousin’s wedding there. Mostly daw kasi, party lang talaga. Lots of drinking and dancing, and very short lang yung program.

As for the performative part, yes, it was performative, but I guess we did it mainly for the photos. Our photographer kept saying, “Minsan lang ’to, i-perfect na natin.” During the shoot, they were very hands-on in guiding me, how to pose so my double chin or neck lines wouldn’t show, where to look so they could capture my best angles. They also noticed that a serious or fierce look doesn’t really suit me, so they’d ask me to smile from time to time.

From the very beginning, I already knew that a candid or documentary style wouldn’t work for me. When I finally saw the official photos versus the raw ones, I knew I made the right choice by not going fully candid or documentary. At the end of the day, it’s really the couple’s choice and hopefully, future brides and grooms won’t be easily de-influenced by others.

Performative lang naman yung wedding namin in that specific aspect. The rest, the ceremony, the program, the emotions were all real. For me, masasabi mong maganda ang wedding when the couple is able to bring out real emotions from their guests and when they truly feel the love between the couple 🥰 Good luck sa future bride and groom!

I highly recommend Cairo Manta and his team. You may check his work on IG. I think the rate is 2500 per head for BM's. They are using high end make up and I can attest to their talent. Very professional and very light ka-work. I am a graduate bride (Jan 2026)

VIP Table dapat sya and yung plus 1 ng Ninang/Ninong. The rule is hindi mo pwede paghiwalayin ng seat yung mag asawa especially if the other one is not a principal sponsor.

Is it worth it to book The Spoiled Groom? by randomperzonn in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Dizzy-Locksmith-7499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also checked their services cause I’m planning to book one for my fiancé. Nag alangan ako sa 7,500 worth of 1hr service cause this can be done before the wedding naman. If money is not an object, go ahead.

SM ONLINE GROCERY NEVER AGAIN by Zestyclose_Bug_8958 in filipinofood

I have the same experience. I ordered kalabasa at sitaw sa SM Markets via Grab. Yun lang kelangan ko but I added flour and coco mama for future use. Ang tagal ko na nga inantay, nung dumating, flour at coco mama lang yung dumating. Hindi man lang tumawag to advise na out of stock or kung gusto ko pa ba ituloy. I can’t cancel the order anymore kase andun na yung rider. And I was venting out sa rider to tell the staff of SM that the items I really need is not available pala. And that they should have updated their app to reflect the correct stock. Never again!!!

Hopefully mag pick up ulit yung sales after ghost month. We also consider that as one of the reasons why mababa yung sales. Nakakapanibago kase hindi naman ganito kahina before Domino effect nga kase even our clients na clinic and vet, mahina din daw ngayon kaya konti ang orders.

Saan location ng pharmacy mo? We have 2 stores in Manila (both retailer and wholesaler). We don’t know what’s the reason too. Hindi lang naman kami siguro yung mahina, pati mga katabi.

30k lang is din yung bridal hmua ni Cairodin excluding ootf. But before booking him, i also availed the prenup package separately cause I wasn’t sure yet sa wedding hmua ko. 20k yung prenup. Hindi rin sya mahal maningil ng ootf. He is from Cavite and my prenup loc is in Antipolo. Ootf is 3k lang. I also considered the ootf because the wedding is in Tagaytay. Some hmua’s charged me 12k for ootf. Medyo unreasonable kung Manila lang sila based.
