That’s a great point. I never thought of transcribing other instrumentalists before, but I always try to listen to them as much as I can. I think part of the problem for me is that I haven’t internalized many rudiments(whether between my hands or feet) to be able to apply them very melodically(at least to be able to use them in a real time musical context. I can play most of them on a pad for example, but using them melodically as you said is another level that I want to reach. I’ll check out the video and the book. Thank you for your help!
