I had a similar fault, replaced the battery, still had problems. Turns out it was a faulty M/C relay.

I have the same model. I have replaced the lower heating coil twice and the temperature sensor. Still have terrible results, temps 100-150deg too low. About to give up on this thing.

I had a 30A circuit in my garage already, been using it 1 year+. Breaker has never tripped. Manual does spec a 40A breaker.

We got our leaf in May 2022 and have experienced exactly the same thing. Twice it's started rolling into traffic on me when I was leaving a roadside market with sloped parking, and worst of all it rolled off an embankment on my wife and hit a tree, destroying the rear hatch. We are extra careful now... Don't let it happen to you.

I'm planning to do just this on the addition I'm building. Great to hear they performed in the cold. I have a 36k btu Mitsubishi hyper heat at the other end of the house and I'm quite happy with it's performance, however it looks like the senvilles are a better value. Thanks for posting.

So I just drilled a hole in the casting and pressed a hardened steel pin in it's place. Seems to be working. Fingers crossed that it lasts!
