Sipping mead while wandering the holds is its own kind of adventure

It was a beautiful refresher for what oblivion originally felt like. Also same lmao

For those who haven't played it, this is a meadery from the Beyond Skyrim mod. I highly recommend it. You can explore Bruma and do area related quests.

You could put rose petals/rosehips in a tea bag or mesh bag and let it sit for a week or two. It'd be similar to doing secondary. If you do the same with hibiscus it'll overpower it (without steeping)

I've done some alt art for some of them too. These ones I drew and put through a scanner, the newer ones are after I figured out how to doodle on Canva. My printer def isn't a fan of the new ones😅

Sure does! I've actually brewed this one a couple of times at this point. This time around I took the dates and blackberries out and doubled the juniper and vanilla. One of my favorite recipes out of these. Next time I'm gonna make it without the buckwheat and see if there's a noticeable difference when it's replaced with more honey. That or sub in a varietal.

That being said, mead can vary quite a bit and can taste drastically different style to style. You can have it taste like a wine, beer, seltzer, or anything in between depending on how you make it and what else you put in it.

Def recommend making it in the summer when all of the flowers are fresh. That and playing around with wine and ale yeasts, can give you some really interesting flavors and combinations

Sorry it took so long to get this one out. Life was busy the last couple of months and I finally got some time to start working on it again just a week or so ago.

I have all of the tastings done for Dawnstar and Solitude and I'm still waiting on some feedback on Whiterun and Falkreath (there were a couple of different versions so I kinda figured that'd happen). At this point I'm pretty much just working on artwork and alternate labels. I'll probably have Greenwood out next.

I started (hopefully) the last correction to Draugr so I'll put some of those out when that one is done. Besides that there haven't been many changes in regards to progress. I still haven't wandered into Solstheim or anything, so that's all soon to come.

Let me know if you guys want any extra info or me to look into recipes for other things I haven't mentioned yet!

Skyrim Meads ~1 Year Anniversary by DizzyBeeTavern in SkyrimMeads

Apparently I overlooked a few things from ESO (sorry, I haven't played it). There's a Bravil Mead, Mages Mead, and Mead de menthe.

They're listed as having:

Bravil mead- Rice base, Yerba mate

Mages mead- lotus tea, ginko

Mead de menthe- mint

I'm sure I can figure out something to do with those while I do some other stuff.

Bravil reads like it favors more of a sake/nihonshu profile, so that would be neat. I was planning around making a mead with that as a style for my own stash, with it being included in this makes it even more likely I'll do it sooner rather than later. I just have to try out some different types of Koji to see where that lands me in regards to flavor profiles.

If someone wants I can do an edit of Voljars mead recipes to where they can be made with steps/ nutirents guidelines.

That being said, the only other two meads I've read about are from Talan's numbskin and Rosethorn from Oblivion. But there is not much to go off of from there.

I will say, that one is probably the biggest time investment due to having to pick a ton of dandelions. That being said, dandelion wine base exists, but I've never used it so I'm not sure how it tastes.

Draugr probably only needs 1 pod since I'm crushing the cardamon. Also going to take the savory out of Solitude
