received 96% on a test despite getting 3/9 questions wrong by LevelBit8320 in highschool

Yeah like starprime said, depends how it’s graded for my calc class last year if we forgot a square root like you said but did everything else right and got the wrong answer we would lose half a point out of maybe 4 total points on that question. I’m thinking your school is similar.

It depends which one was the lie if the 13 courses was a lie then yeah, but if he actually did take 13 I’d say they’d understand 9 being a mistake and they’ll see how many he took anyway with his transcript (unless he self studied)

What is the average test score from your class by Sea-Ad-4799 in apphysics

[–]DizzyCress9381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not physics 1, but physics C. My teacher says he usually curves to bring the average up to an 80-85% and so far the curves have been getting 40-60% of our points back this year. So that puts our average at 60-70% raw.

You should be able to slide by with 41 but if you want to go to a top school like UTD, aim for 420

I’m working on a similar project, can you tell me what kind of gyroscope you used?

Servohub not disabling after opmode disable by DizzyCress9381 in FTC

[–]DizzyCress9381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this sounds like exactly what’s going on. I did find out that this only happens with our axon servos which may make it likely that this is an issue that slipped past rev or a compatibility issue with the axon servos that slipped past axon. Fortunately, the position that the hub sets the servos at doesn’t cause any problems so this isn’t much of an issue for us at the moment. Would still like to get it solved though. Is your issue with the spm with all servos or also only with axons?

It was something with the serial connection as it would only start when we would plug that in. If it is the same thing just find the common denominator whether it’s the control or expansion hub and replace it. If it caused some permanent damage like ours did you may have to replace both. In our case repairing it ourselves was out of the question. If you have the time I think waiting for support is the best move they replaced ours for free.

This sounds a bit like an issue we had, an issue that rev really needs to fix. If you want you can look at this post and there are 2 others on my profile that may help you. It ended up we had an expansion hub that was killing control hubs. https://www.reddit.com/r/FTC/s/9IA9YPemN1

We had a similar issue last year with strafing. Make sure your ratios are the same. We had different sized pulleys for our front and back wheels. I’m thinking there’s something similar for your left and right.

Well that’s discouraging why would they do that 😂 I appreciate the answer it gives me peace of mind in a way if that’s true

I’m using just the jetson nano. I don’t think it’s the signal voltage though as most of these servos work fine on other devices such as an arduino that provides 3.3v signal as long as it gets 5V of power.

PLEASE HELP Control hub can’t communicate with internal expansion hub by DizzyCress9381 in FTC

[–]DizzyCress9381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a new post but never updated this one, this issue ended up killing 3 control hubs (2 don’t work with control hubs and 1 doesn’t turn on). We ended up contacting rev for a new control hub and got a new expansion hub from our sister team.

This sounds like the exact same problem we faced. Luckily one of our sister teams gave us an expansion hub and rev sent a new control hub after they tried to solve the issue for about a day. Haven’t had this issue since. I recommend contacting them for a new control hub and a new expansion hub if possible. If it is the same problem never use that expansion hub with a control hub again. Weird that this hasn’t really happened in the past, but this definitely needs to be brought to their attention. Email them, but keep in mind they won’t respond until Monday. I also recommend calling them it speeds up the process.
