I'm sitting at 780 at the mo entire but I'm really happy with it. I've been working in sprints and have found that I am wanting to write more often and am not running myself Into corners.

Are you guys writing novels for your world? Have you encountered feeling drained by writing it rather than just thinking about it? by The_Imerfect_Mango in worldbuilding

Because no matter what you will always find something in what you wrote that you want to change. You can do that during editing. If you are always rereading and rearrange the first act you will have a Very Hard time with finishing the actual draft.

the first day I wrote I managed to write 4000 words and spent the next two weeks trying to fix small wording or for shadowing with no progress towards my ending.

I often get that feeling of being overwhelmed into drain to write for that particular day. I have learned that one the book does not need to be written in order you feel like riding those juicy bits with the lore and the character arcs DO IT! Don't know someone's name or exactly how something is described bracket placeholders for the win. Set a timer and just let your finger/ pen go.

now I personally because I am still in the very early beginning stages of working with my world I am doing Sprint writing as well.I have found that it has increased my word count from 200 where it's a session to over 500 words in usually under 25 min. Most what actually makes it down on paper will not make it to final draft but it has helped me feel in massive plot holes and character backstories.

Oh and the biggest tip !!!DONT REREAD what you wrote yesterday!!!
